Host are very welcoming and give you all the information and house rules. Great place for someone with mobility issues. The king been is fantastic and so is the sofa bed. Lovely appointed kitchen. We very much enjoyed our stay. Janet & Lorena

Great location in Austin

This was a very nice accommodation in a great location in Austin. It was near most of what I wanted to do but on a quiet street. Would book again!

Great location, safe neighborhood!

Our family of four visited local family & we loved this location. My kids were able to walk to see family down the street & we didn’t have to worry. Lots of friendly faces & dog walkers. The apartment was clean & comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay - great location, everything clean. The only negative is that the walls are thin - we could hear quite a bit from upstairs, but that's to be expected in apartment complexes. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The rental was advertised as 2 bedroom it was only a one bedroom. The smoke alarm battery was low and was chirping every few minutes, had to go buy batteries. There is very limited parking, parking in the front was basically occupied the entire time. We had to park blocks away. The bedroom has no blackout curtains so the pool lighting will shine through the entire bedroom, it will not be dark. There was also roaches in the restroom. Honestly one of the worst rental experiences ive ever had.

Great little apartment just outside of most the fun spots in Austin. easy access right to the pool with bbq pit. property is clean and felt safe. only draw was bedroom is lit from outside light at night. we just covered with blanket from closet. enjoyed the ability for late check out.

I would suggest getting black out curtains in the bedroom. The bathroom needs some updating; paint peeling and toilet lose. Thank you!

Great stay - Needs bedroom window curtain

Other than the light streaming through the bedroom window blind making it difficult to sleep, the place was great. See other reviews - there is an outdoor light that shines onto the bedroom window making it bright even though there is a slatted window blind. The owners needs to put up a room darkening material fabric shade over the slatted one to actually make it dark enough to sleep in there.

Good Stay

The bathroom can use an upgrade. The only issues we had were 1. The bathroom sink hot water pressure was non existent, Like it should be fixed immediately.. not fun brushing w/cold water. 2. The room is so bright at night bc there is no curtain. I’d suggest curtains that can be opened/closed so that the guest can have a darker and more comfy sleep. 3. The walls are sooo thin, I mean we could hear everything going on (this isn’t something the owner can control, but just a good FYI). Otherwise, the House looks as listed. Decor is so modern and beautiful. I’d recommend the Stay & stay here again.

Very Disappointed

During the worst snowstorm in generations (Winter Storm Uri), I expected some assistance from my host. I reached out to her to ask if the apartment had power, heat or water at the apartment and she responded with extremely vague answers not indicating whether there was power. She encouraged us to drive into Austin just to find out for ourselves(we looked on a public map that said there was no power). Obviously, this is not a responsible decision given the state of emergency in Texas so we decided to wait it out. Unfortunately, we never made it to Austin given the many snowy/icy days that followed and inadequate information about the status of the apartment from our host. Ames afforded us absolutely no flexibility, no money back even though we were not able to make it. When booking an Airbnb I would expect most hosts would refund at least a portion of the evenings given these extremely extenuating circumstances. Ames did not do this and after extensive conversation would only refund a $50 cleaning fee.
