Great value and awesome location. A fun way to experience austin
Pros: Great location, clean, and comfortable. Cons: Wifi is terrible and slow
Easy access , free parking, free wifi. Friendly, professional staff; walking distance to good restaurants, entertainment, lake. very nice property
The hotel was in a great area, just at the edge of Congress street where the hustle and bustle of the downtown area is. Very close to restaurants, bars, shopping, and the capitol. I did not have to take a taxi anywhere. Also very easy to get to from the hotel, I took the bus and it dropped me right by the hotel. The room was nice, but a little dirty (hair, stained walls), but overall pretty comfortable.
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Clean. Convenient to downtown Austin sights and activities. Park and walk. We had VIP status, so the parking was complimentary. Ask about that when you book.
There are two things that make this hotel a top choice - the staff and the location. The staff are all really friendly, helpful and fun - some of the nicest people I met during my entire trip. The hotel itself is a little dated in appearance - but the rooms are comfortable, good size and all you really need.
The description was room with a view of the river; most of the view was the top of a building and industrial fans.
I was in town for NYE, so really only needed a place to stay for the night. The room was clean and tidy and everything that was described was there in nice condition. The only thing that could be improved was adding a couch to the room. Other than that, it was a really nice stay.
Awesome Location!!!!! Able to walk everywhere. Staff was very friendly
Great place to stay. A little pricy for the room that I had but the hotel is in a good location and the staf is great I give the an A.
Its kind of an old Hotel nothing special about it.
The hotel is located near all the downtown places one likes to stroll on foot. Near great restaurants, the bridge from which the bats fly, SoCo, etc. Not cheap.
I don't like when the sink is not outside the bathroom. I hate the sleep number bed. The pool was beautiful.
This hotel is nicely situated along the Lady Bird Lake and the Congress Ave Bridge as well as within walking distance to all the other attractions on W. 6th and ACL. Although the room is a bit dated, they do offer a Sleep Number bed which was nice and comfy. It's a good value and I would stay there again.
This hotel is within close walking distance of eateries, Congress bridge (with the bats), metropolitan parks, Austin ballet, 6th street, and the Moody theater. I was expecting a standard coffeepot, but it only came with a single cup brewing system with single use coffee packets.
It was a much needed relaxation weekend for my brother and I :)
I was here for an event ast the convention center. Perfect location for me. It is 2-3 blocks away from the convention center and was able to walk there. There are several places to eat around there including the TGI Fridays inside, but was not find of a $5.95 22oz domestic draft beer. The lobby is very nice but the hallways and rooms need updated. Overall it was average and if you are going to the convention center this would be a spot to consider.
I booked it cuz of the misleading reviews that it was close to the 6th street, but still we ended up driving there and paying for parking downtown. rooms are clean but upon coming home i discovered that the hotel charged me 20 bucks. What for??? We brought our own water and only stayed there 1 night.
This hotel was walking distance from downtown Austin, so it was easy to get around at night without driving.
