Ramada Augusta Downtown Hotel and Conference Center

This hotel should be on the show Hoarders. It is a mess! Nasty dirty and smells like cat urine. Everything looks old and dusty must be over 30 years old because style looks like 80's. Area is very dangerous and would not go out at night does not look safe. Pool closed and roof top lounge closed. How does Ramada allow them to have this hotel fly it flag???

Candace and Guenther at the front desk were very kind and helpful! Only stayed one night and there was hardly anyone else staying there which was nice. Older building with not many updates, but not a concern for our stay. Service was the highlight :)

Unfortunate listing. This hotel is old and basically unkept, smells and looks old. Roof top smells like active smokers live there. I wold not recommend to anyone.

Walked in to a freezing lobby, a bundled up security person collapsed in a chair just inside the door. The carpets in the lobby are so stained and soiled, they should have been removed decades before. There is a closed gift shop (this is 3 pm on Saturday), a closed restaurant, and a sign on the door to the pool indicating closed for maintenance. The clerk was nice enough and checked me in and sent me to my room. 2 of the 3 elevators in the lobby do not work and only one is marked broken. However, the 3rd door is blocked by a plant and it had been opening and closing and I stood just pressing the button again and again until I went back to the desk and was told to look at the hidden door behind the plant. Up to my room which was huge... a suite filled with very old, saggy, mismatched furniture. The heater was already set on 86 but it was too cold to take off my coat. I sat and tried to eat my lunch but decided I needed to change rooms...I was moved to an equally huge suite with a different set of mismatched, saggy furniture... but this room had heat! I was in town for a concert and when I returned to the hotel, the parking lot was packed and I was approached by somebody as I got out of my car and was frightened. I got back in the car and found an illegal parking spot closer to the hotel door. The parking lot guy didn't follow me. The next morning as I left, the parking lot was EMPTY. I now assume this guy was the parking fee collector for a nearby club. There were less than 20 cars in the lot... (nobody is staying at this hotel). I'm 60 years old. This is the type of dump I would have sought out in my earlier days looking for a bargain, paying $50 max and getting what I paid for. With fees and taxes, this room was $150. I want my money back.

Pool not working restaurant closed one elevator broken no shuttle service need I go on. Room was so dark I needed a flash light to read. Noise from other room until midnight. Slept well but this is a convention centeršŸ˜‚

One of the elevators were out of order. Both the restaurant and bar was closed, which was the reason I selected this hotel. We wanted to stay somewhere that had both bar and restaurant. The parking lot was a little run down. The staff was amazing and the room was fine.

Was in town with wife and child for the Augusta half Ironman. Stayed here three nights. Had a great time. Place was nice and clean. Staff was super nice and friendly. There's a restaurant in the hotel which was super convenient. Prices were very good. The only neg is the place looks outdated and is in need of an upgrade. I would stay there again though.

We stayed here for the Ironman 70.3 Augusta event. The location was PERFECT for the race and the staff were AMAZING!!! There were some issues with check in but the staff were awesome as they remained cheerful and friendly as the people waiting to check in kept growing. The place needs some updating but for the price, it was as expected.

Location was ideal, front desk staff was very pleasant. However, to find a used, washcloth hanging over the shower curtain when I stepped inside was disgusting. Did they not clean the shower? Also, the stench in the hallway from the side entrance by the pool, was that point I decided not to even attempt to go to the pool for fear of the worst.

If not for proximity to Ironman race, would never stay at this hotel. Disgusting smell and deplorable common areas. Room decor/furnishings are awful. Employees/Housekeepers without uniform or badge ID...couldn't recognize staff from transients. Ending on a positive, GREAT front desk help!
