Needed somewhere to stay last minute, just for the night, close to downtown Queen Street - and this was the best option. Good price point and I was still able to get a private room with my own bathroom. Super close to where I needed to go, easy to find from public transport. Nice and quiet, felt safe and secure. Was able to store my bag during the day while I was at a meeting - staff super helpful and friendly. Perfect spot for a quick stay for a solo traveller - would recommend!

Booked a Quad share family room for 2 nights. Room was very spacious with a large window (that opened) for 2 nights in mid-May. Reason for visit was a concert at nearby Spark (Vector) Arena which the hotel is perfectly located for as it's only a 5 minute walk. Bathroom was very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable. It was a 5 minute walk to Queen Street and/or the waterfront. Staff on reception were friendly, helpful and efficient. Would highly recommend for a family that was looking for a base for the weekend to explore Auckland. Based on the price paid, it's worth 5 stars. We didn't use any of the shared kitchen facilities.

We got upgraded from a double to a 3 bedded room on the top floor. Friendly & accommodating staff. Very spacious & clean. Bathrooms were clean (a huge plus for me). Well equipped kitchen. A few streets away from the hustle & bustle of Queen St which was greatly appreciated. Wasn't impressed by the accumulated black rubbish bags placed by the closed off exit doors next to the Lounge Area - the stench was horrendous! We could smell it from the reception desk eek! The top floor balcony by the bathroom was used by smokers despite the No Smoking sticker on the door. Quite annoyed by the tobacco smell lingering into the hallway. All in all, would definitely stay over again when in Auckland.

Service was poor. Common areas run down and full of dirty pots. WiFi advertised as free. It isnt . airport shuttle advertised they don't do it. Rooms and bathrooms very low standard of clenliness . a far cry from the other Jucy in Christchurch.

We stayed at the hostel part of Jucy Auckland, with shared facilities. Our room (second floor) was big enough and clean. The room is what you can expect from a downtown hostel in a big city. There's a common area with a common kitchen, it's a bit small in high season, but well equiped. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Two suggestions for improvement: - an extra fridge in the kitchen - bed lights It's a good base to explore Auckland!

Stayed a night in the jucy snooze. Price was very cheap for a double room (discount if you have a campervan booking!) The room was very spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. Its just a little outside the CBD (walking distance), so there is not much noise at night. They had friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel has it all (if you dont seek for an absolute luxury) except for the free in-room wifi. This was a little bit disappointing, but ok, it has everything else, so you will have to live with that (during the day you probably wont be needing it anyway) We stayed in double room with shared bathroom for the first two nights and later in a double room with private bathroom- the second option was of course better, as the bathroom was spacious and the shower was amazing! Five stars just for that! Location is convenient- you can reach most of the attractions on foot, harbour is conveniently close and so is the main shopping street, bars etc. We both would return ti this place any time and would highly recommend it!

It's a decent location, just 5mins from the main Queen Street. Countdown (Woolworths) is 5mins down the road and the SkyBus shuttle drops off 10mins down the road. The rooms are adequate, spacious but got very cold at night! The bathrooms seemed clean but very dated, same with the kitchen - clean but old. The average guest seemed to go along with the building too, as its majority 30yr olds plus. So if it's making travelling friends and partying it's probs not your scene. If you're wanting a tidy, easy stay then this will do the job

It has it's location going for it, but that's about it. Inside it smelt like my nan's house and the bed was pushed up against the wall, as well as really uncomfortable (my partner slept on the floor it hurt his back that badly). We were in a private en suite room and it just was not set up for 2 travellers. Considering we stayed at their sister property in Christchurch the night before, the difference was drastic. The Chch hotel was slick and felt clean and airy, the Auckland one just felt rather depressing and grimy. The car park is really awful, it's underground and tiny. I realise that space is at a premium in the city centre, but even our tiny rental car struggled to manoeuvre into the position we were assigned, plus to pay $15 for the experience seemed like a bit of a kick in the teeth. If you have anything larger than a golf cart I'd suggest finding an alternative nearby car park. My other gripe is the fact we had to pay $10 for wifi, whereas it was free in their Christchurch property. If they can do it free at one location I don't see why they can't in the other, plus it was really rubbish and slow. On this trip I have been relying on wifi to catch up with my family and plan routes for the following day, but the connection wasn't strong enough to Skype. I wouldn't stay here again. It would probably be acceptable for solo travellers or backpackers, but even with my fairly low standards I was disappointed.

Very basic backpacker-type accommodation with private rooms available. Excellent location. Must pay for wi-fi unless sitting in reception area: owner should reconsider as free wifi is the norm now for almost every kind of accommodation.
