Bianco off Queen

Very nice and comfortable, complete with a queen bed, mini kitchen and washer dryer. hotel is close to most of the central business district in Auckland and in walking distance. Very close to sky tower and shopping areas. No air conditioning, but room is comfortable. Walking distance to hop on hop off tour bus.

The hotel was on a back street, but we felt safe and had no trouble finding it. The room needs some updating, including new carpet (carpet was frayed and worn) and furniture. The sofa was made for kids it was so short. I'm far from tall, and it was still too short for me. The beds were comfortable. The second room only had a double bed, although we requested 2 singles. There was no washing powder for the dishwasher or soap for the sink when we arrived. The staff did provide it when we asked. The biggest issue was the 1GB of free wifi. I'm not sure how it was calculated but after using maybe 100MB, we no longer could log-on to the wifi. Every morning before getting on to the internet, you had to go to the front desk for a new code. The staff was helpful and friendly. They allowed us to store our luggage prior to our room being ready when we arrived. Overall, it wasn't the worst place we've stayed. It worked for the couple of days we needed a place to stay while in Auckland. We just needed a kitchen and a place to lay our heads. You are a couple of city blocks from the nearest grocery store, but that's what teenagers are for.

I got sick in fiji and needed a comfortable place to stay.

Wow....the space was great abd the location was fantastic.

Lovely little apartment complex on the edge of the University and minutes by foot from the CBD. Warning: Auckland is super hilly, you will get lost without a map, but you'll love every moment of it. Here's hoping you find all the cute little cafes and shops we did.

Perfect location - right in the center of downtown Auckland! Can walk to Viaduct, Britomart, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. You get a serviced apartment with full kitchen, washer and dryer (they even provide laundry detergent!), 2 TVs, lovely balcony. Reception is staffed 24/7. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. Excellent value for what you are paying.

We stayed aat Bianco for 17 days, and were quite satisfied with the stay. we had a two bedroom standard apartment which was adequate for the four of us ( 2 adults, 2 children age 10, 7 ). The convenience of dishwasher and washer /dryer was great. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff were friendly and cooperative. Apartment was clean. Kitchen was well equipped Location was excellent , it is just a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Ferry terminal and Sky tower, and most downtown Auckland attractions. Overall the location was safe. We would stay here again. Cons: The living room couch could be updated, and the flat screeen TVs are quite small. Parking spaces are small until you get used to it.

Great location, good service, The studio is not quite big enough to qualify as an apartment, and the rooms get a little hot without A/C, but it was a good deal.

Hotel clean, and comfortable, and great location walking distance to main high street.

My stay was disappointing from arrival to departure. As usual I did a bit of research and choose the location well in advance based on the information offered on a couple other websites (US & UK); however, on check-in I was told I was not getting many of the key reasons for my choosing the place: "daily room cleaning and complimentary in-room breakfast" and among the "Highlights," "High-speed Wi-Fi in guest rooms". When I informed them of the contradictions, the staff made a big show of making the copy of the description I brought with me and contacting the booking site to make the necessary corrections; however, at the time of this review, nearly 2 weeks later, I find that the same false advertising being given. In addition, I found out few days into my 10 night stay many insect bites. I made a mention of this at the front desk multiple times without any actions being taken. I even asked for insect spray to deal with it on my own but was told they didn't have any and I had to wait for the next day's housekeeping. When I asked about it again the next day, I spoke to another staff who did not seem to be aware about my situation. It was quite tiring to have to explain so often and to so many different people. I was in Auckland for two academic conferences and the bites were so many and so red that other conference attendees started commenting on them. A couple of locals mentioned the possibility of fleas which made me head to the nearest pharmacy. The pharmacist there confirmed that they were flea bites. I returned to the hotel with the medication and pharmacist recommendations and only then did the hotel take action. I sincerely hope others don't have to go through what I did. At the very least, a reputable company like the booking site severs its connection with such a business.

Difficult to find the hotel location. The street is very short and not known to its local residence. Actually it is not too far from a city (free) bus stop.

IT's good enough -even there is no waiting room for tired guests who can't check in yet.

The location is excellent: 1. great for walking to the main sites, 2. 1 block from the free turist bus, and 3. two blocks from the 24 hour bus service to/from the airport. The location is near the university with many asian restaurants neaby.

Easy walking distance to town. Good size room. A bit noisy on Sat night but all right on Sunday night. Okay breakfast.

We spent our last night of a 14 day trip to NZ at this place and really liked it. They gave us an upgrade to a 2 bedroom, because they had run out of the one bedrooms. The bedrooms were kid of small, but adequate. There is a full kitchen including dishwasher and oven, and also a washer and drier. There are TVS in the living room and the main bedroom. The king size bed was nice and there is a balcony that runs the entire outside of the apartment. Very friendly staff. There was also a simple but nice continental breakfast included. It is within walking distance of the Sky Tower, shopping on Queen street and many restaurants (mostly oriental food). The parking is kid of expensive ($NZ20/night). Overall a great place for the price and highly recommend it.

We were very disappointed. The facilities were nice, but we had requested a room high up and ended up on the second floor. There were 5 couples in our group and two had the 10th floor, 1 the 9th floor, and the other the 5th floor. The room was very noisy from traffic and air conditioning units running at other buildings. This facility has not a/c. I recommend only if you get a room higher up.

We enjoyed a nice week end in this centrally located hotel which has everything you need for a short stay away from home.

Nice accomodation in an appartment building, with all facilities (including washer-drier in unit, stove, microwave, ironing board, etc) and a home feeling.Centrally located near Queens street and walking distance to City hall.Downside: Few parking spaces (we could not get one and had to park in the street, at $4/hour)When we returned to Auckland the next week, we booked ir again through [...]and got a confirmation but when we called the hotel they told us they were fully booked and could not accomodate us, which was later confirmed by [...], so we don't know where we'll stay...

Wow - having a 1 bedroom apartment instead of a hotel room was fantastic. A full kitchen - stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher (soap provided), cooking pans, dishes, silverware, toaster, coffeemaker. Selection of coffee, tea, sugar. Also - clothes washer and dryer in your room - you provide the detergent Yes - they provide sheets, towels and housekeeping service just like a regular hotel (even little soaps, shampoo and hairdryer) The daily breakfast ($5 a day - for 1 person) 2 slices bread, cereal, milk, butter, jam, juice. Separate room for bedroom - windows that open - free Wi-Fi - balcony Just 1 block off Queen St (the main street of Auckland)

They gave us a free upgrade when we arrived to a two bedroom apartment. Everything was like new, complete kitchen, also washer and dryer in the room, an awesome view of the city and the location was perfect right down town off the main drag. This would be top of our list if we go through Auckland again
