This hotel was absolutely charming. Staff was super friendly, room was very clean and the old building just felt full of character. My only complaint, and it’s small, is that the tv did not have an accessible USB port. I travel with a cable to plug my phone in to access my movies and couldn’t use it here.

Nostalgic hotel kept in good condition with very clean rooms. The employees have a positive and helpful attitude. The area is filled with multiple restaurants, an old fashioned diner, small movie theater, and a Publix all within a block or two of the hotel. Safe family friendly area where you can walk around day and night. I stay here during each visit to Atlanta.

Theted a hotel cat amd i loved him. The place telies heavily on the charm and history of the building which is pretty cute but overall the builsing is old and worn.

In a great location close to parks, restaurants, and stores. There is a charm to it being an old building but that came with a downside of no hot water in the bathroom.

I loved Pirate. Man at front desk was kind enough to carry my bag to my room. Just wish the premises were more accessible for people with disabilities.

The property is just old. Bathrooms tight, fixtures old, no elevator (wife in cast for broken leg). The people were very nice and did their best.

The property was fine. It was actually a very cool place. Very old and historical. But the staff, particularly the barista Sunday morning in the cafe, was rude. As well as the front desk gentleman on Sunday morning. Not sure why people are dealing with the public with such chips on their shoulders. These two seemed very annoyed by my presence. Unacceptable. The next time we are in the area we will choose another place.

If you’re looking for fancy, this isn’t your kind of place. It’s quirky and old and wonderful! Be sure to bring treats for Pirate, the hotel cat.

Very old and cool close to Carter library. Great restaurant next door.

Good location. Terrible condition, very run down and in major need of renovation.

Dated but charming with lots of interesting history. Location A++ with plenty of restaurants/pubs in walking distance. On a Wednesday evening we walked by a blues bar with live music and another pub next door with live music. Stayed here for an event at Emory University. Emory was a 10 min Uber ride through a pleasant Atlanta neighborhood, I was a little disappointed I didn’t get to experience the famed Atlanta traffic! The hotel is easy on/easy off the interstate. The staff was friendly and accommodating of our late checkout.

This is a very nice neighborhood. It is an old well kept hotel.

The building was built in 1927 and has a lot of character. Some rooms are very small but clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and informed about the area.

Loved the friendly hotel cat, the hip staff that had great advise on where to go to grab some good food in the area, the bed was comfortable, cute historic vibe.

Loved this stay! Old and no amenities. But everything was very clean and a lot of character in the building! Restaurants and a grocery stote are within walking distance! (2 blocks to grocery store).

The hotel has a lot of character (in a good way). I like older hotels and this one is clean and comfortable. Staff isn’t too friendly but the hotel location is within walking distance of a park and some restaurants and shopping.
