I called the hotel at 4:00 and tried to cancel my room. The lady at the desk said to call Orbitz. So I called Orbitz and they say I could cancel but I would not get a refund. We argued not to cancel. She was very clear that my room was not canceled. tried to check in and my room about 10:00 pm after leaving some friends home 50 minutes away. When we got to the hotel they said they did not have any rooms and that they were over booked and they did not have a room. So we call Orbitz and they could not get us a credit because they could not get anyone on the phone at the hotel. We spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to get it worked out. We then drove another 50 minutes back to our friends house and slept the night there. I got 3 hours sleep the night before as I had to get up at 2:30 am and was exusted. I had a trade show in Atlanta all day long and after the hotel mess I did not get to bed until midnight. I dtohave not received an apology or my money back. Ron L

It's a good value because the staff members were super nice, beds were comfy and it includes breakfast. It's not an amazing, delicious breakfast, mind you, but you can have some raisin bran and juice. I am a food snob, so I couldn't deal with the scrambled eggs that tasted like they were probably from a powdered mix, and the sugary yogurt, etc. Coffee was just watery and bitter. The floor and sink in my room were dirty when I arrived, and although fresh linens were brought 3 of the 4 nights I was there, no one ever wiped, dusted or vacuumed anything. I told the conceirge and she was extremely apologetic and thanked me for telling her. You could pay $200 more each night to stay in the Omni and have a top-notch experience, but unless you are a princess or something, why would you?

Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is presented as a buffet from 6:30 to 9:30 and is delicious.

Pink mildew in shower, hair everywhere, very loud through the windows, etc.

Hard mattress, but great free breakfast. Affordable for the location and an easy walk to centennial park.

Your staff made us feel welcome and attended to everything that made our stay pleasant. Their knowledge and suggestions around Atlanta were very helpful.

The room we stayed at, 708, has a non-working toilet, it could barely flush, we told that to the receptionist at the check out and she helped us. Besides that it was okay, the breakfast they included has a lot to offer

I was sent to a room with no air condition, no hot water, and no phone working. I was told by hotel staff to open my balcony door to get air. WHAT?!? Someone tried to come in my room 3 diff times. I was told there were no other rooms available yet the hotel was empty. After I made it a point to say I refuse to stay in that room they all of a sudden found a new room. I will never stay there again and suggest this hotel be taken off the list. Called Orbitz to complain and the rep was from India, had never been to US, and knew nothing about Atlanta and he just wanted to send me to another hotel at night for the same price not knowing about the Atlanta area or hotels. Orbitz rep promised me a $50 credit and I NEVER received it. It is also falsely advertised. Pics show a nice white victorian style hotel which is NOT this one, its a view of one near by on the roof of this one.....

I was heading to Atlanta for a convention at the nearby Georgia World Congress Center. I had certain issues staying at the host hotel, so I shopped around for a hotel within walking distance at a price I could afford. I found it in Barclay Hotel ... it was comfortably within my budget, a fifteen minute walk, and even better, with free wi-fi. Getting a breakfast out of it made it even better. I was well pleased with my stay ... I had a great view from my room of the Skyview, the room was comfortable, and the staff was terrific. The elevator kept going down, and every time the staff was alerted to it, they immediately addressed the issue. I don't know yet if I'll go back to this convention next year, but if I do, the odds are good that I'll stay at Barclay.

I turned on the hot water on my first morning there after a night of fitful sleep on a squeaking mattress, and the water was brown for the first 10 seconds. The bright light from the top of the garage that got through the crack in the curtains kept me up, and no matter how I moved them, there was no relenting, Will not be returning and I don't recommend a stay there until they do a new round of renovations. Absolutely unacceptable.

This place is just OK....not bad not real good. I would search out the surrounding places and do your due dillegence if you have the time...

Vanessa at the reception desk makes you feel like you have lived in this hotel for years. Very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is old but for someone who is there just to spend the nights and get busy enjoying what Atlanta has got to offer I see no issues with the interior being outdated for the price/location.

I was in town for my sister's funeral. The staff ask how things went slat the funeral and even made coffee for us beforevwe left the hotel at 5:00 AM the morning of our flight back home.

Rooms were adequate and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was better than I expected. There was actually hot food available. Parking is a bit of a pain since this hotel does not have it's own parking lot. You have to use a nearby parking garage, and have parking validated each time you leave the hotel. Now, there are several restaurants within walking distance, so that made leaving the hotel a little more convenient. Overall, I would recommend and I would use it again.

Needs a major renovation , no Taylor's old, and it looks like I had not had any sort of an update thing for a while, Wi-Fi is horrible

With the heat on full, the room was cold enough to see your breath.m, granted it was 19 degrees outside. The only redeeming factor was the clerk at the seat. Nice lady despite asking me if I would go into the basement to reset the modem as the wifi went down constantly. I was asked for money by a bum right outside the lobby door. The parking garage was scary. I wouldn't have my girlfriend go to the car by herself. But hey,ya get what ya pay for.

So when I was looking at hotels I was surprised to find some fairly good deals downtown. For this place I ended up paying about $125/night with tax. I was going to stay at the Hilton for $150/night but figured I would be cheap and save $50 plus the parking cost was almost move $15/day vs $25/day. Well trying to save $70 wasn't worth it. Got in rather late for check in at 11pm and they were doing shift change so I can understand it was a little busy. The parking garage was locked so I they told me they would give me the key and I could unlock it and park my car. I get up to the room and it is extremely dated. The king size bed had an impression in the mattress like it needed to be turned or replace. There was no mini fridge in the rooms. The bathroom was also very old with a terrible shower( no water pressure). The worst part was the heater in the room didn't work. So I called down the desk asking if I could get extra blankets. They told me that they didn't have any more staff so I would have to come to the desk and get my own blanket. This is a large hotel how do you not have any staff? So the next morning I go down to have the free breakfast. It's terrible. The eggs are watery, no flavor from the sausages, and bad coffee. I don't expect much from a free breakfast but should have been better. I ask the front desk about a late check out and was told to ask the manager, she said he was somewhere in lobby. It should not be my responsibility to look for another employee

The free breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold options, and the staff was very helpful if something had run out. Each staff member I interacted with was extremely kind and helpful.

Having read the reviews in advance of booking, I knew not to expect luxury. All I wanted was a convenient place to stay, and that is what I got. I had no complaints.

This hotel is old and in need of renovation. Bathroom was barely adaquate with very little water pressure. Tiles are very dirty and the sink is cracked. The windows were comming out of their frames and opened too wide for an 11th floor location. The day time front desk staff boarded on rude although the night person was very nice. Their was a small fire in the garbage pail that was choking us all at the breakfast area. It was finally put out by the front desk clerk by pouring water into the garbage bag. The help walked around on their sell phones talking away on clearly personal business. A very unprofessionally run establishment, didnt even have luggage tags to identify our bags in storage. Only good thing is the 12 minute walk to the convention center. Otherwise horrible, no security at all.
