If I was traveling with someone, and hadn't just received bad news from home, I probably would have been satisfied with this place. But I was traveling alone, and did just get bad news from home so I found this place incredibly depressing. It had all the inconveniences of a hostel without any of the benefits. I witnessed no atmosphere at this place whatsoever. The website I booked on stated my room would have a fridge and a balcony - nope. Air conditioning I can't comment on because I didn't need it at the end of October. I was most disappointed that the hostel website advertises a rooftop terrace which absolutely does not exist.
Stayed in the one bedroom for a night. It has all I needed with a very low budget. Close to the Acropolis (15min walk) and metro station, a single private room, and breakfast. I feel safe in the area as well as I was walking by myself back to hotel at 3am after a wedding banquet. They have towel and soap. Can ask reception to borrow hair dryer. Receptionist (the owner) is very friendly. Bed sheets and things appeared to be clean. Things are just older here in the building. It could be noisy at night and people walking up and down the stairs in the morning are noisy too so just be aware if you are a light sleeper. Overall I would rate it excellent given the price I paid for. I have nothing more to ask for.
We booked this 'hotel' via the internet and were sucked in supreme. We went to see it in real life before we went to Corfu and it was so bad we cancelled our booking. We have been trying to contact the hotel to get a refund (given that we gave them 9 days notice of cancellation) and we keep getting our emails bouncing back. I'm beyond annoyed, and I want to warn others. It cost us 50euros, so we are keen to get the money back
I didn 't stay i need only for one night because i had another hotel so I srep in to check price and there was this nasty mature man I asked if I can check the room first he told me he was busy but in very nasty form. .I walk again at night and the ambiance that I saw in the lobby wasn 't so nice .
Booked for a student trip. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom could have done with a seal on the door to prevent water getting into the bedroom, but a towel did the trick. Some traffic and draughty, but central to everything! Supermarket across the street, two amazing bars (Six Dogs and Bar 360) just a block away, 8 doors away from the metro station - really was a great spot! The host spoke great English, and his staff were so helpful and accommodating!
I visited hotel Fivos with a group of friends and we had an extremely positive experience. The stay was affordable and all our needs were met. The staff we friendly and had good English, they were very accommodating to our needs. The continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. It felt secure, and is well located. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. Would definitely recommend this to a party that is wanting an affordable stay right in the centre.
We stayed as a group of ~15 and had a great time. They were patient and helpful. The place was very clean and in a perfect central location. Don’t know how some reviews are so poor; we experienced no problems.
16 of us stayed here for 4 nights and we were all pleasantly surprised by it. The rooms were all very clean which is the most important thing, the location is perfect, the staff very helpful and friendly. Showers could be a bit better, but for the price that you pay it wasn't a big problem. Would recommend if you are looking for a place that is friendly and simple!
We stayed one loooong night in a room with street view. Or should I say street SOUND. The window couldn't close, so we had to listen to the very loud street sound all night. But at least the sounds from the street (including people, cars, music and sirens) were less noisier than the bed! It was impossible to sleep in it. I actually believed we would end up on the floor. The room was dirty (especially the bathroom) and felt very insecure. The fridge was disgusting and had mold everywhere. There was no fan or AC and with an open window, it was like an oven. I'm aware that this is a budget hotel, but it really wasn't cheap enough to explain that horrible standard. If I have to say something positive, it's in walking distance to Acropolis and the bus to the airport.
I stayed in the dorms, which I wouldn't recommend. The dorms are right near the kitchen, so lots of noise in the morning or people who play the tv loud at night. Four small beds, all about a foot apart with no lockers. The showers have hot water but are very cramped. People who use the kitchen or common room from the hotel use the bathrooms by the dorms, which means there could be a wait to use the washroom. The location couldn't be better, two minutes from the metro and the Square which is the start of the whole Acropolis area. Staff were all very nice and quick to provide information and a map of local attractions. Lots of restaurants and shopping around the hotel.
