Stayed here for the weekend whilst visiting Athens. The hotel is very dated, room is small and needs a serious refurb! The bathroom is ancient and small, very awkward to move in. The hotel was spotlessly clean, but the oldness of the hotel made it feel otherwise. Staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome, excellent service. No restaurant in the hotel.
This hotel is stuck in the late seventies/early eighties. It does not seems the hotel has been updated anytime in the pas decades. It is dark, depressing and it has a "stench" (like old water). I bough an air refresher to try and improve the room's odour. The breakfast was horrible and if i wanted an espresso i had to pay extra. I actually left the "food" it and went to next door's Starbucks.
The fact that the hotel is close to the airport bus stop is probably the only positive thing about this hotel. They should do a renovation! Only stayed here when I have an early flight. A Starbucks next door as well as a Goodys.
Apparently hit by the economic crisis, the hotel does not meet the standards it used to do in the past. Economy is everywhere: heating (room was cold when we arrived and was heated later) mini bar was empty, soap dispensers were empty, wifi signal was too weak and unstable. Staff was polite, trying to accommodate as much as possible. Overall decent but I have been at much better 4star hotels at the same price.
Stayed one night here in December during a business trip. Room OK and bed was comfortable. But very small bathroom and shower in very small sitting bath tub. Breakfast was ok but not so much to choose from. Very compact Greek yoghurt for breakfast is no so nice.
Although the hotel is in a central location, close to the metro station and the city centre, our experience was rather disappointing. Value for money doesn't apply here. Overcharged for what they are offering. Old furniture, no bathroom amenities (the bathroom has only soap, shower gel and shampoo, which are exactly the same thing only with different labels on them!!). Even though the hotel is classed as 4 star hotel, the standards were more of a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is not something special, quality definitely needs improvement. There was no bottled water in the room. Damp problems on the bathroom ceiling and the corner walls of the room.
Central location in Athens, within walking distance to many attractions. Close to public transportation. One for the few hotels that provides free parking! Courteous and very helpful staff. Breakfast was limited and quality needs improvement.
Reserved the hotel through an airline website. Hotel was classed as a 4 star hotel but the standard was more a 3½ star. Hotel was disappointing and not as expected. Stayed in a standard room; the size was small, soap/shampoo are in dispensers, very limited channels on the tv, deposit payable for the safe which needs to be locked by a key (I felt locking my valuables in my suitcase was safer). There was no bottled water in the room, and no tea/coffee facilities although on the booking website these amenities were shown. The bathroom was very dark, the shower leaked, in the morning I found small cockroaches in the bathroom. Complained and was moved to another room which was a little better and bathroom cleaner and renovated. The curtains in the room are in need of a wash and when I moved them one morning to get some light into the room, lo and behold! the bedhead was filthy. Breakfast was very basic. The staff at the reception desk could speak English and they were courteous and helpful. There is a coffee shop, a nice decent restaurant just outside the hotel, and a convenient store a few yards away. It will take about 15-20 minutes walk to get to the Syntagma Square and some other attractions. Taxis can be easily got from the road outside the hotel and there are plenty of them.
Terrible to see small animals running on the rooms floor. Talking with other colleagues they had same experience in their room. What can I say more ? People very gentle Starbucks and a night club side by side with the hotel
Room:twin beds. Clean, big enough, excellent natural light ,airing and airconditio. Good breakfast, good waiters,a pleasure. Kind, helpful chamber girls. Computer service available all day long.Staff at Reception very nice,helpful,polite.Veru\\y good value for money.
