Beautifully restored and updated all-suite boutique hotel near restaurants and shops downtown. Everything worked and plenty of comfortable chairs (two "musts" for seasoned travelers!). Old wood floors faithfully refinished and thoughtful and endearing room designs (each of the fourteen suites is different). Practical, usable kitchen and even a washer and dryer hidden from view. Beds are comfortable, even the queen sofa pull-out. Attentive staff who have personal knowledge of Asheville and can find the ones they don't know. Use them! They are friendly and waiting to help. The best restaurants are off the beaten track sometimes, like Loretta's and Button Bagels. Some street noise and music from the street in the evenings, but sound-proofing is in progress. The hotel does not have the amenities of a Marriott like a pool or exercise room, but the personal attention and Carolina love is abundant in the staff. Delightful place. Downright homey in feel.
I am so glad the Windsor Boutique Hotel is still around! We've stayed here several times and every time it has been great! We've travelled with our kids each time, so the washer and dryer is so nice to have!
Absolutely gorgeous!! We will definitely stay here again! Excellent service and proximity to all downtown has to offer! We cannot recommend this boutique style hotel enough! Perfect for couples or families!
Would recommend the Windsor to anyone looking for Anniversary/Honeymoon getaway. It's also family friendly, just very quiet. Rooms are very spacious. Hotel concierge super friendly. Assisted with our luggage and provided complimentary drink and snacks.
We enjoyed out stay at the Windsor! It is a very nice hotel with plenty of space in the rooms. Front Desk staff were great and the hotel location cannot be beat! Would have given it a five star rating, but there were some issues/details that a five star hotel should not have. Specifically, we stayed three nights, but only had our room visited once by housekeeping. We ran out of coffee (as well as sugar and creamer) on the second day, but is was not restocked. These are fairly minor details, but for upwards of $500 +/- per night, one would assume that these details would be taken care of. Overall a great stay and we would definitely consider revisiting.
Excellent location downtown where you can walk to some great restaurants and shops. The suite was beautifully decorated and our bed was very comfortable. We liked having a kitchen and living room area. The staff was friendly and professional. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning a trip to Asheville.
Loved this boutique hotel! Our room was so comfortable. I could not stop taking photos of all the little details. The decor was exquisite. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Asheville that wants to treat themselves.
Just back from four nights at the Windsor, in a double queen suite. The room was amazing, Great space to spread out. And amazingly well appointed with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and well-decorated. Having two rooms was perfect. Felt more like an apartment than hotel room. The location is amazing with a number of great restaurants and shops nearby. Lastly, but certainly not least, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We'd stay there again for sure.
Very cool, small hotel. Each room is different. All (I think) with kitchens and living rooms. While renovating, they kept the original wood floors and some of the brick. Lovely place. You should go!!!
Great little hotel. We did not expect a full kitchen with a clothes washer and dryer. 'Could have stayed here a week. It's super comfy and right in the heart of Asheville. We walked everywhere. Love it.
