Love the repurposed facility!
Although the property has been renovated nicely, it really doesn’t offer much in the way of amenities. The nightly rate is too high for the value received.
Loved the rooms and bar area. Location was excellent, walking distance to everything in downtown Asheville. Coffee shop which is in the same building (essentially) was excellent also.
Front desk staff so friendly and accommodating. Loved the free ride in their Tesla to our sinner reservation. Room was clean and had good amenities. Extra pillows arrived quickly. Thanks!
Great stay walking distance within Mast General Store, Packs Tavern, and other establishments. Close to the Biltmore Estate. Will stay again.
Loved the historic remake of a great piece of old Asheville. All was done tastefully. Excellent staff, evening entertainment and cleanliness. All that was missing was a pool.
The place was really nice and clean. They were more than willing to help me when I had issues. And the bartender there was amazing she really knew her stuff.
Very cool building with a great lobby. Room was pleasant enough. The first room we were given was dirty, so we had to change. When we needed different pillows, and then again when we needed toilet paper, it took 4 calls each time to get a response. My sister’s room was right across from the garbage cans, so she was woken up at 5am by the noise of trash collection. Nice bar and bar tenders. This place has a lot of quirks. Maybe in time it’ll be first rate. Right now it’s only okay.
Cool newish place (owned by Hilton). Need to do a lot of work to go from just ok to a really well organized upscale place that I could recommend. 4 phone calls until I finally got the pillows I requested, original room was dirty so had to change room, sister had a room facing garbage cans that woke her at 5:00am, had to call 4 times until someone answered the phone so we could get toilet paper. Staff was all very nice and tried their best. Nice lobby and bar area. Possibly these problems are growing pains...for the staff, I certainly hope so.
Staff was excellent. Property is newly renovated old industrial property. Most rooms have original wood flooring that is uneven and uncomfortable to walk on barefooted. We prefer carpeted floors. Room and bathroom were spacious. Excellent small refrigerator that actually kept drinks cold, unlike most hotel refrigerators. On premises restaurant was marginal. Better than average overall.
I didn't hate it - I loved it!! This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very attentive from check-in to night cap. Rachel, the bartender, was very friendly and dropped what she was doing to make sure we had a great experience at the bar. I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Asheville. The location was convenient and walk-able to downtown amenities.
