I liked the pool and slide. I didn't lije the fact that there was no supervision on the slide. Kids climbing up water slide as others coming down. They didn't have elevators, so it is hard with someone who has walking issues. The gift shop was not a gift shop, and there was no gameroom, as the brochure displayed. I understand that due to covid, they may not be able to utilize that feature, i feel they beed to update thier brochure.

The place was old but clean. Nice pool with a slide and good restaurant with friendly service from the bartender Amanda. The biggest issue was the bed was so uncomfortable. Very hard bed, hard to sleep. The pullout couch was more comfortable than he king size bed. Wouldn’t stay there again. The hotel staff wasn’t friendly either.

The gentleman at check in didn’t speak a word, seemed he absolutely hated his job. Got to the room and the smell! Was not cleaned well, hair bands still hanging in room! Tried to order room service, after walking there I was told phones are down. Every time somebody closes down the hall closes the door, the window shakes. No sleep at all. Pool was the only decent part of this place. Was so bad we left a day early

The outside area and pool was great. The room was a bit dated

Josh in the restaurant was amazing! He wa as friendly and let us chill by the fire until we checked in. We loved all the Staff! Becky gave us cards to play with until we were able to get into our room. The restaurant had the best tri tip I've ever had! The in house made pork rinds were heaven and the shrimp cocktail was unique and deleicious! The pool was warm, slide was so fun! The jacuzzis were wonderful!

Our room had little critters that's expected in the mountains but not too fond of finding so many in our room. The smell of chlorine was intense. There was a huge water stain on the ceiling above the toilet that was concerning since you could hear people flushing. The shower curtain was disgusting to say the least. The mini fridge didn't work at all in our room. The ice bucket had cracks in it. We weren't aware of that until the next day when there was water all over our things on the desk. The staff was nice and pleasant but the facilities could use a better up keep. Especially for what we were paying.

Great pool. Disappointing breakfast, zero shower pressure and waited almost 10 minutes for someone to show up to check me in. We went for the pool and that was a win, but nothing else to bring me back.

All the staff (checking in, bar, towels, cleaners, and maintenance people) were helpful and friendly. The hotel has an early 70's vibe - not modern, very clean and well kept. We all found the beds to comfortable - they are firm. The Pool and Hot Tub area is awesome, we had so much fun. Really made for a wonderful stay.

Very nice atmosphere. Clean rooms. Staff members were very helpful and courteous.

This was not what we expected. Check-in took almost 2 hours and then had to switch rooms 3 times because they were dirty. They never had pool towels, beds were hard and it was loud all through the night. We not go back.

Check in took 20 minutes, with no other customers present.

Nice people, clean and comfortable. Will stay there again

We had to wait at the front desk while checking in for 25 minutes because their computers didn’t work. We finally got to the room and the keys didn’t work. We found a bug in our room and we didn’t have any linen for the pullout sofa in our room..... but the kids loved the pool and slide. And we got good food for 20% off in the restaurant. The room also had a fridge and microwave which we appreciated. I expect more when we pay $150 a night but I guess you gotta pay for the water slide and indoor pool.

Huge place, huge indoor pool with awesome slide, indoor restaurant and gift shop

Great amenities and room was clean and comfortable.

Great family option for a mountain trip. Whether you just need a home base for day trips to Pisgah or Asheville or you want to spend all day by the pool, Cascades has you covered.

there was corn food on the bathroom floor we had to clean the bathroom ourselves. The beds are very old, lumpy and horrible. Could not sleep!!! contacted front desk and they said just tell morning staff. told morning staff and they said they will tell another staff. no compensation, no nothing, just “sorry, come back and see us again and tell others to come see us”. If it wasn’t so late we would have gone somewhere else. I noticed many customers were also upset with service. The walls are paper thin and very old hotel. The photo are deceiving!!! yes the swimming pool has pretty lights, but you cannot sleep in the pool! The staff was friendly, but not trained or able to do anything for people’s discomfort. Seemed like once they take your money, your history! stay someone else

Thank you for sharing your time with us. We do not have a supervisor for the pool although adults are ask to stay with their youth as they are in the pool area. As we have lasted longer with this pandemic and the executive orders, we have a letter sent out to share what we have available and not available. Hopefully, as the COVID pandemic subsides and it is safe for individuals to travel a little more liberal we will be able to stabilize our amenities. These are a little different times as non-essential travel is picking up and not use to areas closed or limited for use.

I am so sorry for not meeting expectations. I am not sure what the issues were due to being unaware of what room you stayed in and how we might have corrected the situation.
