This place is amazing. I wanted to write another review because everyday, there is this guy named Marty who mops the ENTIRE hallway outside of our room. All I smell is clean everywhere. Room is perfect size (1-bed). Quiet all the time. Tile floors in all the rooms is smart - easy to keep clean - no disgusting carpets.
I've stayed at LCBR several times. This resort is perfect for families, couples old and young, and groups of friends. Everything you want or need is accessible. And 2pm bingo brings all the guests together each afternoon. 👍🏼
We are so lucky to be able to get our rooms here !! We love the studio. Been coming back every year ! It is the best ! I won't go to any other island! We have great friends here !! The beach is great but you do need to get up early for a hut ! ( it would be nice if you tipped the worker who set up your chairs !!)
Visited this resort for a week in August. Weather was beautiful of course and everyone was very happy. you can take a short bus ride to a grocery store to purchase fresh fruit and necessities- almost anything you would be able to find in USA although a bit pricier. The water was perfect and this truly is one happy island!
We have been here for 5 days now and can't wait to leave! The smell of mold and mildew is everywhere! Even in the small closet with extra pillows and blankets, as well as the elevators. I realize this is a tropical climate, but I have never experienced this in over 40 years of travel. Next, that layout is horrendous! You enter and exit through the bedroom! No privacy at all. The bath is in the middle and the extremely small sitting area & kitchen are at the end. You have to go through a hallway to get to the sitting area. The furniture must be from the 70's and is very shabby, worn and extremely uncomfortable. There are still popcorn ceilings. The floors are hideously filthy. I had a pair of white socks on and they were so dirty after an hour, I'll just throw them away. I would never walk barefoot in this place. There are no laundry facilities in the rooms, and you need to pay $2.00 for a token, so $4.00 per load of laundry. The little kitchenette is the only thing that seems to have been updated. The front desk guy that checked us in did not smile, and just ran down a list of all of the "rules". Not exactly a warm welcome to "One Happy Island". Don't lose your towel card, as it will cost you $25. They nickel and dime you for everything. And as others have pointed out, it is almost impossible to get an umbrella at the pool, or palapa at the beach unless you get there extremely early. Parking is inadequate. Also, I am in a leg brace and requested a unit close to the elevators, but they said they could not accommodate me. Nice location. Convenient to Super Food market and restaurants. The beach is a quick walk. We will never return!
If you want an almost rain-free action, Aruba is the place. And THE place to stay is LaCabana. LaCabana is located on one of the top beaches in the world -- Eagle Beach. The facility is extremely well maintained and in excellent condition. People who hardly get any praise are the ones that make your stay memorable. We drove from the airport and were greeted by a bellman named Roderick. He is the best, most informative and very friendly. We needed to get to a restaurant and weren't sure exactly where it was --- he was getting off duty and said to follow him, where he led us to the front door of the restaurant. That's what I call service beyond the call of duty. So, if you want sun and fun, a top notch resort with very friendly people don't hesitate to book at LaCabana!! You won't regret it!
We stayed two weeks at LaCabana and had a wonderful time. The grounds are well kept, the rooms and hallways are clean. The beach is across the street but it's not like being in the U.S. and across the street. Most of the time if there is traffic they will stop to let you cross. I was so surprised at that! There are several restaurants within walking distance plus the two restaurants on the grounds. There is a huge grocery store within walking distance and a mini-market right off of the lobby. We took several excursions and they all picked us up in front of the lobby. The only complaint I would have is how people save tables at the pool and then don't come back for hours or save them at 6:00 in the morning and don't come back down until 10 or 11. Other than that, it was perfect. I can't compliment the staff enough. They were all friendly and helpful. It was definitely a relaxing two weeks! Lots of sunshine and lots of smiles!
What a great place! La Cabana was so pretty and the grounds were very well kept. Excellent customer service also, all the resort workers were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a Cinnabon store to the left of the front entrance and their cinnamon rolls are so delicious! La Cabana also has a little store that I would describe as a convenience store inside. It has bread, cereal, medicine such as Advil, Aloe Vera and sunscreen, etc. This hotel is also conveniently located by a huge supermarket that is easy to get to and not too far so you'll be able to walk to it. Rooms were always clean and the kitchen area was very useful, bathroom was a good size and the shower is super big (there is a hair dryer in the bathroom cabinet also). They also have shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the shower so no need to bring that unless you just have to have a specific brand. Pool was beautiful and the beach area was spectacular. There is a bar and a little fast food place right by the pool that sells pizza and hot dogs to name a few things. Their food is good but they are very slow to get it out to you. On the days we were at the beach we got there around 6am to get a good shaded hut but the downside to that is there is a man who rents out chairs and umbrellas so even if you get a front row hut with a perfect view of the beach from La Cabana, people will come and put their chairs and umbrellas out in front of you which I think is ridiculous and they shouldn't be allowed to do that. Overall, this is a very good resort that I am looking forward to coming back to!
Love this place in Aruba! Hreat friendly staff and guests. Stellar location to Eagle Beach. Great restaurants on site and a short walk to others. Also close bus stop. Rooms are updated and nice with balconies
Hotel is well maintained and staff is super nice! Stayed there for 7 days and totally enjoyed the experience. Pool area is awesome and beach is right across the road. The beach is one of the best I've ever been on. Great location for other restaurants and grocery store is really close. We'll be back!
