Property needs updating. Shower may have been cleaned, but it looked moldy. Grout was covered with black spots, we didn’t even use it. Face plate on phone was missing, could not determine what the different buttons on the phone were for other than the dial pad. Walls are paper-thin; could hear neighboring room “activities”. Would never stay at this facility again.
No signage at the entry from the street and awkward vehicle access to the property from behind another hotel . The exterior door was propped open. Our room had nonworking electrical outlets. The sheets were new, but they were 60/40 polyester and hot to sleep under. i would not recommend this hotel.
I can’t say enough good about this hotel, owners and staff. I travel to Appleton often and have stayed here several times this fall and will not stay anywhere else when I’m in Appleton. The current owners took over in the middle of Covid and have done a fantastic job with remodeling and upgrades. The rooms are always spotless and the breakfast variety is better than most hotels. If you want a hotel with great rates where the red carpet is rolled out than try this one you won’t be disappointed.

Was booked into a different property through orbitz. When I checked in I was told that they were out of “pet friendly” rooms but they would put me in an “alternate” property on an adjacent lot. The property was substantially inferior to what was booked, and no price reduction was offered because it was booked on a third party site. Schedule was tight, so we had no choice. Hurried to our appointment and returned about 11:00 PM. Deadbolt on door was mislined and inoperative, chain lock was loose, and the rooms around us partied until after 2:00 AM, as was evidenced by the two trash cans full of beer cans and bottles outside our room the next morning. When we left the next morning, there was nothing but apples and one doughnut left at the “breakfast”. I voiced all my concerns to the front desk and was told that the manager would be in in 1/2 hour and would call. It’s a day later, and no call yet. Also, apparently booking and prepaying through Orbitz makes it difficult to adjust the “price.”

Hi Lee, Part of the problem was that you didn't reserve a pet room, but arrived with your pup. We had no pet rooms left at the Baymont. We offered you another room which we also waived the 25.00 pet fee(since it wasn't on the original reservation). No, we can't make any adjustments to reservations made through 3rd parties like Orbitz. Our Breakfast bar included: Yogurts, boiled eggs, waffles, cereals, bagels, doughnuts, oatmeal, fruit, granola bars, milk coffee and juice. Sorry there was only one doughnut left; however I'm glad we were able to accommodate your pup on such short notice.
