Hotel Diamonds and Pearls2.0 out of 5.0

Just back from a weekend break at the Diamonds and Pearls - and loved every second of it. Couldn't fault the owners - as we didn't arrive until 11pm and they were waiting for us. The rooms was spacious and spotless (first floor junior suite with view). And the hotel's location was perfect - ideally located on a quiet street - right in the centre of Antwerp. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we have booked again for the same period in a year's time. Loved it.
No point repeating what others have said, but this is a very individual, bespoke, boutique hotel on the quiet side of the cathedral. So a great location. The manager can't do enough for you, although the 2 day visit wasn't without it's problems as there was a maintainence issue with my room let's say. Try as they might they could not resolve the matter but it was not so serious and the manager really tried to rectify matters. Breakfast was really nice (you won't need any lunch) but a little pricey. All-in-all, enjoyed my stay away from those generic international hotels!
Lovely hotel and very quiet. So quiet you have to phone the manager to come from elsewhere to let you in or get you an iron etc. Bed was VERY comfortable and the room was lovely. Stairs up to the room are typically narrow and steep for this region so don’t take a big bag up, you will struggle. Not much hanging room in closet so get the feeling the hotel is aimed at single night stays. Didn’t have breakfast here but the smell was amazing in the morning. Staff very friendly and helpful, lovely stay.
This hotel is a nice small hotel in the center of Antwerpen. We stayed for a night in the upper suite with a marvelous veranda. The only thing that they have to do in that room is to renovate the door of the toilette, cause is an old one and you can see trough... This is an easy thing to do and for me...URGENTLY! The hotel decoration is very cosy, sexy and sensuel. The breakfast nice but not for 16,50 euros per person. I would like to stay there again..
My wife and I stayed here for two nights while on vacation. The owner takes great pride in this place and pays attention to every detail. The room is extremely comfortable and well appointed. The bed is dreamy and our room with a nice. The host and staff could not be more friendly and kind. The location is literally steps away from the Cathedral. The morning breakfast was extra special - coffee or tear, egg, lunch meat, cheese, rolls, jams, orange juice, and more all beautifully presented. Ate dinner next door at Lalapalozza and food was excellent. This was a great find! Can't wait to come back.
It's always great to arrive somewhere and find it looks even better than expected. Fabulous quirky décor in the lounge, bar/dining area, and garden. A very warm welcome, great information about the city with personal recommendations on where to eat out in particular. This little boutique hotel is only steps away from the cathedral and main square, with plenty of bars, restaurants, sights, and shopping on the doorstep. The first floor room with the small balcony was perfect for us - big comfy bed, kettle and tea/coffee supplies (replenished on request), a mini bar for 'emergencies', and a shower room. Breakfast (16.5 euro per person) was a delight of fresh produce and set us up for the whole day. If you want bland and boring, go elsewhere. For charm and character, you may well have just found the right place for a night or two exploring Antwerp.
Dirty, old, the staff is unpleasant. The room was outdated and smell like it was closed for long time. The toilet was so dirty I didn't want to take a shower. There are lots of better options in Antwerp.
My friend and I were staying in Antwerp for the night and were so happy to stay in this hotel. The decor was a gorgeous boutique style and the location couldn't have been better. There was a parking garage within 100 meters of the hotel and it only cost us $18 for the time we were there. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a beautiful one night stay in Antwerp, and I am SO happy that we booked with Diamonds and Pearls. The room was cozy and well decorated with a cottage stye feel to it. The bed was extremely comfortable and we felt like we were the only ones in the whole place! Breakfast was great the next day, and the staff at the desk were really welcoming. I would 100% recommend it as a get away for couples or as a pitstop in Antwerp during a Euro Tour.
We visited for just 24hrs on our anniversary! Hotel is in the heart of the city with a great view of the Cathedral of our Lady. We stayed in Room 1, It was very clean and full of amazing, charming old furniture and soft furnishings. We went on the recommendations for evening activities of the extremely helpful, English speaking staff. (We didn't have time to ramble around hit and miss to find a good bar or restaurant) Oh my we were NOT disappointed! There are loads of great traditional beer bars and restaurants within minutes - just ask for where the locals go! The bed was so comfortable! A great nights sleep was welcomed after an amazing night out!
