I spent one night in Swissotel Ankara during my business trip . Hotel is clean and well decorated, I liked my room. Spa center is fabulous, especially Turkish bath. Breakfast bar was good but could be better, not so much choices! The hotel is in quite location and you can't find something especially around.
We stay at swissotel for 3nights,it was awsome.lovely rooms, kind staffs, comfortable situation in all matters you think. Over 300tv channels are available on your room, the bath&toilet was very clean. You can enjoy from perfect breakfast bar in morning, every thing was fresh, yummy and delicious. you can find every thing you need around the hotel, whatever the region is very quiet and you can have nice time
All the staff at this well placed hotel in Ankara makes you feel very welcome - from the security at the door, to the receptionists, the waiters and the housekeeping staff. The spa facilities are excellent, and having a true Turkish hamam experience while in country should be on all visitor's lists. The lighting in the spa area made you almost feel that you were outside, and definitely far from the 3 storeys below ground.
Lunch at Swissotel. We spent 6 weeks there 2 years back when we moved to Ankara whilst flat-hunting, and still live within walking distance. We still visit occasionally for a weekend treat, lunch or brunch. I visited with my wife for Saturday lunch. We were offered a bottle of Pellegrino without asking which we declined. Neither of us wanted water, and there was no mention nor indication of what it might cost – though inevitably extremely marked up in a place like that– and we simply didn’t wish for water. My wife ordered a squid rings appetiser and a steak sandwich. I ordered seafood soup and a steak sandwich. Her squid and steak sandwich arrived together. No food for me at that time. The waiter filled our water glasses from an unbranded bottle, without asking, and the remaining half-bottle bottle was not left on the table. We didn’t need it, presumed it was free, so no problem, I thought. Still no food yet for me, I thought maybe my soup was taking time. So I had some of my wife’s appetiser, and also accepted half of her sandwich. I was eating on that and the waiter re-appeared. I told him my sandwich hadn’t arrived. We were the only diners in there, so not over-busy, far from it. Cut a long story short, it then arrived about 15+ minutes later, during which we had no further food to eat; clearly it wasn’t on our original order. And I never got my soup appetiser. A shame, as I had been looking forward to that. The bill arrived; the anonymous water we didn’t want, nor had asked for, nor drunk, was on the bill at TL14 [both 3.8 in either Euro or US$]. So, all in all quite a disaster for a simple meal in a place we thought we knew well. I also deeply begrudge being served things like the water that I haven’t ordered, nor been pre-warned are chargeable, nor consumed, and yet find charged on the bill.
I stayed here for three nights and found the staff and facilities to be first class. The hotel is found in a quiet part of Ankara however a number of shops and restaurants can be found within walking distance of the hotel. I would recommend the pool and Hammam- well worth a visit.
It is a five star hotel located at the quite district of Ankara. The hotel has an easy access by car or by walk. The rroms are very clean and comfortable. I also like the restaurant and the café of the hotel. If you do like cream cakes, please try their specialties. The hotel has a nice spa facilities and spacious fitness center. I especially like to swim at the Swiss Hotel. The hotel facilities are satisfying both business and other guests.
Ugly building, in a modern, not too central district of Ankara gives you one of the best price/performance ratio for hotels in Ankara. I find Ankara rather dull and unattractive; but this hotel has some nice touches to it that relaxes me. The staff is great pretty much everywhere (except a not-so-nice guy in the gym); very professional front desk and concierge (who can guess your next move before you do). The spa is top notch; make sure to reserve before you arrive. Silent and well-maintained in general.
I stayed for one night on the night of December 18, 2016 1. Front desk staff was proffesional and very helpfull 2. Porter staff was stif and though helpfull - were grim and resentfull ( we had 4 boxes of conference material sent before hand of which one had burst open at time of delivery....) although all three were tipped they grunted and their manner was on the brinck of being rude when they loade the packages from the luggage room to the van we hired to go to the venue. 3. the restaurant and staff were very good. 4. dinner and menu are superb. 5. Breakfast although so many choices were far from good tasting... the pastry had hardened and dried although I took breakfast at 7:15 am 6. The rooms ar spacious - and decoration is good. -Minibar well stocked 7. However there were things needed to be repaired - like a broken marble corner on the bathroom shelf - or the mirror that had stained within that needed changing which I found odd - must be bad usage by guests or rough treatment of cleaning personnel... but needs attending neverthelss. 8. I smoke occasionally and wanted a smoking room just incase I worked late and needed a smoke. BUT I must say... the room smelled like a garbage can full of cigarettes.... I relized the cause as being the curtains - smoking room curtains MUST be washed more often .... 9. There is nespresso machine and capsules - a small water boiler and tea available in the room. 10. There also should be an extra blanket available to guests stored in the wardrobe... 11. The windows were very dirty from the outside
