Stayed at Crowne Plaza Ankara for 4 nights in December 2017. Depending on your purpose of visit to city the location can be either great (for shopping) or vastly inconvenient (for visiting touristic areas) - for us it was really good. We had to check in in the middle of the night due to our flight schedule and we were greeted by a rather unhappy receptionist which had a very negative impact on our first impression which is difficult to reverse afterwards. Reception Area: For a so-called 5 star hotel, reception area is quite rundown and cluttered with printers, open drawers and lots of paperwork lying around. Needs some work. Hallways: Not well lit and loose fitting and old carpet. Guest Room: We stayed at a standard room at 9th floor. In general small room, dark and not well maintained. Throughout our stay the room was extremely hot (think about 28-30 degrees Celsius) tried to fix it through AC unit to no avail and opened the window instead which did not help. Bathroom/toilet area is separated by a wall and a window with blinds but the blinds did not properly shut so we did not have any privacy at all while taking a shower etc. Bathtub was very old with some stains at the bottom and cracks round the corners and was not very practical to use ( there’s a glass panel instead of a curtain which is a good idea but the glass panel is fixed and makes it difficult to reach the knobs without going into the tub first which is rather inconvenient) Towels were not white but off-white which was kind of off putting. Event though we had a reservation for 2 people there were only 1 pair of slippers in the room and 1 tea towel for face (no extra towels) so we had to ask for the second set - we got it in the end but why did they only provide 1 set to start with? Housekeeping knocks the door at 09:05 - which is rather early and after cleaning we did not really feel as if it was cleaned as there was still dust on the floor and fingerprints on the table etc. Our water glasses were not changed 2 nights in a row. Breakfast: Good spread of breakfast, nothing in peculiar. In general, poorly maintained and sloppy in details. There are many other hotels in Ankara, we will be staying somewhere else next time.
I with my colleague stayed in this hotel for a business meeteng. The hotel business center is really comfortable with all needed equipment and good with fi. The rooms are clean and modern with bathroom. Thanks for making my stay so comfortable.
Located 1 minute walk from huge Anka Mall it was the best choice for me. Staff was extremely warm and welcoming. With fantastic breakfast choice. The rooms are big, clean and modern with very good space if you have to work.
It was a nice overnight stop here . Best part is the Spa for sure. You just wouldn't want this as a vacation option. Minimum breakfast , for example : Two different fruit options One egg option ( boiled ) no other not even scrambled eggs ! Dinner buffet two meat options , veal or chicken Service to match , minimum. Wifi sporadic and appears a lot of sites are blocked or just a combination of poor signal Also, be prepared to carry your own luggage ! But to highlight the Best Part ; The Turkish Bath and spa were 5 Stars . Don't miss the chance to experience a Turkish Hamman and the most relaxing massage ever! If you are new to this , don't worry the staff will guide you through the process , and make your experience wonderful
The hotel and the staff were polished, professional and attentive. The decor was nice and very much up to date. The restaurant was clean and the menu diverse. The bar staff could stand a little schooling. All the staff spoke English well. The hotel is next to a very large shopping mall, which we did not have time to visit. For those of you who like to shop, this would be a good location--I found the prices on all goods in Turkey to be very reasonable, with some real bargains. There wasn't much else to see around the hotel. This hotel is popular the the flight crews of the airlines that stop in Ankara. This is an indicator of value and comfort.
5 stars at it's best... Large room, great bathroom, good water pressure, friendly considering staff, fantastic variety of food. Just plain good service in a fantastic hotel. Situated next to Ankara's largest shopping mall... perfect Will stay again
The hotel is located next to the biggest ANKAMall (Migros shop) and metro station. By metro is very easy to travel around Ankara, for sightseeing. It takes around 30 mints from airport. Hotel offers (additional cost) airport transfers. Room is comfortable, clean and hotel is quiet. Breakfast is various and tasty, offers also fruits and natural juices. Hotel staff and reception is very helpful and friendly! They also speak English. Special thanks from Baku, Azerbaijan to: Reception - Yasin for all his assistance on our arrival and transfers! Hope he will be back. Quest Relations - Sinan - for all his advices and help for going around Ankara! Cafe (breakfast) - all staff and administration, specially to Kadir! Also, thank you for classic and french music every morning :-) If we are back to Ankara, for sure we will be back to this hotel.
I can see ANK mall from my suite. It is the biggest in Ankara and the second in Turkey. I got 2 suites for my family for a very low price. Suites are large and very clean. The receptionists are kind, polite and cooperatives. I do like it and like the breakfast. My family and I feel very appreciative to the reservation team lead by Mr Yasin. I am very sure that I am finding a good place and if not the best then it is one of the best: that is Crown Plaza Ankara.
This hotel our second house from Ankara. service and staff very good. there are always solution and support. "Spire club room"is very good and there is alot of alternative foods and drinks. Thank you for all Crowne Hotel Ankara personals. 👍🏆👏
The hotel is located -exactly- next to the biggest Mall of Ankara. Ankamall.. you even have to get to the hotel through the entrance of the mall . Looks fine to me, clean , people sleek good English and there seems to be plenty of personnel to keep you happy. I checked in late at night and they took immediate care of my dry cleaning and suitcases. Pretty nice . The room is rather simple , nothing and to write home about . Just a basic closet, table, 2 person (to my taste ) hard bed , couple of chairs and a tv.. (pictures) also there's is a bathtub in the toilet . Just as many other hotels in turkey, and I don't know why, there is a large window out of the bathroom straight into the bedroom .. somehow , it doesn't matter with whom you share the room .. there is -always- a look through to the toilet / bathroom. 0 privacy if you share the room. Air conditioning works fine , minibar is slightly hot. Not really cooling .. alltought these rooms are mostly non smoking .. there are many signs that once they were.. cigaret burns , and somewhat a clammy smell.. In the morning , room cleaning starts early, around 9:45.. it woke me up actually , and that's why I don't go for the full 5 stars on this one . It woke me up, and it didn't stop for 1 hour or so. Doors slamming , people talking, throwing with things .. it was really too loud.. also on the second hand ; the curtains can't fully close, it is impossible to make it fully dark in the room . In total , hotel is good , personnel is fine , sleep quality is average .
