Seem private, secluded and peaceful. We like it here. They also served our lunch. We only brought our fruits for the day trip. the service was good and staff were nice. White clean beach with a gazebo.
The whole family and extended family had a lot of fun at the beach. The resort only accept reservation but good thing the owner accept us as walk in guests. The resort has very relaxing view towards the ocean. They offer scuba diving and other diving experience and you can enjoy snorkeling at the inhouse reef. The staff are very accomodating . And oh we love this place and hope to come back again for the next vacay.
The location of the resort is near the beach, and around 700m from the main road, the ride going to the resort is a little bumpy. Our room is located at the 2nd floor, the first room that they gave us have a busted light, my fiance didn't like the gloomy feel so we moved at the room next door. It is spacious, the bathroom is clean and surprisingly we have hot shower. I knew that there is no tv but my fiance didn't, so he is disappointed. The pool was kept clean and my son enjoyed swimming at the smallest pool, the beach is rocky and you can see occasional sea urchins. You can walk the bay area in the afternoon because it's low tide and we enjoyed doing this. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. We often see the owner (husband) and we learned that the wife is the brgy captain of the area. Overall Anda, Bohol have the finest sand you can see and the most gorgeous bay area to work in the afternoon.
The location of Flower Beach is great, right on the beach (not so nice, rocky and lots of sea urchins). If you want tranquility then this part of Bohol is for you. I paid around 200 pesos to get from the bus terminal to the hotel each way, it takes about 2 hours in total, l used GT Express. The resort is very tired, I had a basic room, still £40, no hot water, which when you are diving is not great! The food is average and not cheap, but it is not easy to go elsewhere. I did venture down the beach with a torch one evening to Island View which was much better. So, the diving, l was the only person in the resort for 3 days and so had a dive guide, Hubert and his wife to myself, which was great! They were lovely and good guides-diving here is recommended if you go to Anda! The diving is pretty good, many Turtles, good hard and soft corals, both sandy bottom and wall diving. It is not as good for muck diving as Dauin on Negros, which is fabulous. The staff at the hotel were good and accommodating, together with the owners who were friendly. So downsides, pool looked V murky, not sure if l would have wanted to go in, the beach loungers looked horrible and no cushions, beach towels- I doubt it.... Would l go back to Flower Beach? no, especially for the price, would l return to Anda, yes.
We stayed ar the Flower Beach in a deluxe room, in front of the sea. The location is amazing, private beach, infinity pool...so all that was great but the hotel and room were not what is expected for the price we paid. The room was very old style. The toilet didn't flush and couldn't be fixed. One of the lights didn't work, a handyman came and fixed it. The air con was an old machine, extremely noisy and we barely could sleep because of that. No deluxe and you really need an a/c. There were not many people in the area or the hotel so the bar at the hotel and beach and pool was shut so leaves you with not much to do while you are on the beach. What if you want a snack/drink? We had to go to a neighbour hotel for a drink and some snacks. The service at the restaurant was good. Breakfast offered filipino/American and continental options. We had dinner the night we arrived and food was good. You can walk on the beach and visit neighbour hotels, some of them much better look and feel. We didn't meet Florence (owner) but her husband, a German gentleman was really friendly and very helpful with all the queries we had about the area. That was a plus. There is also a dive centre at the hotel but you have to talk to them and show your interest when you check in beforehand as some days is closed.
great place if you're looking for a relaxing location. Staff is very friendly, food is quite good but the best this it the private beach. definitey recommended! It was the best place we stayed in during our trip to the Philippines. Only downside is that there is no hot water for the showers but since it's always hot this was no problem for us.
Freddie the Dive Master is Flower Beach's true gem. He is fun, engaging, knowledgable, and truly loves Anda and the sea. He was an excellent instructor for diving courses, dive master, and he even took us on a Mountain Bike tour of Anda's back roads. The resort itself is also nice - very low key and quiet. The beach is lovely to walk on at low tide. We quite enjoyed our stay over all!
hi just come here and enjoy if you want a more quiet place in bohol, thats it. do not go to alona beach, unless you want noicy bars, restaurants and lots of tourists.. here you can feel philippino hospitality. nice staff, beautiful environment and cuite rooms...
We really enjoyed staying here, owners and staff we very friendly and helpful with anything we needed ! Food was really good, some of the best we had our whole trip ! The location was very private beautiful beach and pool! You are quiet far from everything - that's what we wanted. They arranged trips and airport transportation if we wanted ! The dive guy Freddy was also great - we enjoyed our dive ! Tons of beautiful coral that we have never seen before!
I was originally planning to pay the 10 peso "environmental fee" and sleep on the public beach in Anda itself, but I'm glad I didn't. The resort owner's wife bumped into me in town and insisted that I stayed at their resort. I'm glad I did! It was like staying at my parent's house. The staff was very friendly and made me feel very much at home. The food was good, and with the assistance of the owner and a Dutch couple, we drank the place out of San Miguel! The room accommodations were modest, but clean. And they didn't leak during the torrential downpour that evening! I very much enjoyed my stay and feel that not only did the put a roof over my head at a very affordable price, that I made new friends!
