There were bums hanging out. I didn’t feel safe. The refrigerator was taken out because it was broken. It was sitting in the hall. The continental breakfast was empty and a mess with bums sitting in the area. We did get coffee.

Horrible neighborhood, dirty room and people eating out of trash container in parking lot. Loud drunk guests party all night!

Nice city but bad property, prostitution, drug deals inside and outside of the property.

Do NOT Make RESERVATION EVER at this Hotel Econo Inn EVER AGAIN do not make it for anyone else ever PLEASE I do not want anyone to experience the horrible experience we (my mom and I ) had!!!! My mom and I booked a train ride from Seward to anchorage, then we booked hotel, as soon as I got confirmation from orbitz I called hotel to make sure reservation went through, and notified hotel late check in. The day of our train ride I called hotel Econo Inn 642 E 5th Ave to confirm and let them know again late check in, they confirmed reservation and made sure we had a room for our arrival. When we arrived at 11:30pm no room they sold out and over booked! They called their sister hotel EVERYTHING Was TERRIBLE EXTREMELY TERRIBLE We got a room with sister hotel after 1 am No elevator, Had to hike a 3 flight stair in another building HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Would have been better off staying at train station for the money we spent for a 4 hour stay NEVER AGAIN will I book at this hotel and orbitz I will go through someone else or make sure I get better accommodations on my own Got a room for less then a Four hour stay since we had to leave at 4:30 am to catch train from Anchorage back to Seward The shuttle was the only thing that was reliable the driver that picked my mom and I up at hotel to take us to the sister hotel was extremely helpful and he took us to the train station at 430 am but nevertheless DONOT EVER BOOK this HOTEL to anyone you can do better Thank you

Filthy, falling apart, smelly. Brushing up against one of the walls left a greasy dark streak on my clothes. Lots of people loitering around the door and parking lot. Glass in the parking lot, as if someone had broken a car window recently

On 6/26/18 I contracted through Orbitz for a four night stay at Econo Lodge in downtown Anchorage, Alaska, for the nights of August 31 through September 3, 2018. The management never cleaned the room once in the 4 nights. The key card for my room door failed to work frequently, such that I had to go back to the desk many times to have it reactivated. Water on the roof above my 2d floor room, and/ or the shower piping caused the interior wall opposite the shower to deteriorate due to the plaster buckling. Management accused me of body slamming someone against the wall, which is totally false. No fighting occurred in my room, Econ Lodge is attempting to place a bogus $200 charge against my debit card, in addition to the $398.72 charge that I contracted for on 6/26/18. The hotel refuses to answer the phone 907-274-1515 to discuss this bogus charge.

Close to food places and the mall. Within walking distance which is awesome.

We did see the rooms--not what we reserved. Management offered to take us to another motel--it had bad reviews. We found another one on smart phone.

One day only. I wasn't expecting much I didn't get much.

Awakened 2 out of 3 nights by people screaming in the hall way. Busy street within a few feet of the hotel. Lots of traffic noise, sirens and loud trucks. Furnishings in poor condition. Barely fit in the cramped corner shower, which leaked all over the floor. Sheets and towels seemed clean, hot water and free internet. Airport shuttle for $10 each way. Bottom line, I saved $400 over my original booking at the Marriot. I would not recommend this hotel.

Near santa monica beach, just one night stay is fine.

Did not really feel safe there. However, it was not too far from the nicer part of town. Too much traffic and there were a number of street people always around the Motel.

it is just a basic room to say. the front desk employees are very nice. Good for one night .

This was a no-frills hotel, but it was exactly what I wanted, the price is what enabled me to visit Anchorage and check out the Glacier brewhouse and the Moose Tooth restaurant across town .A little breakfast thing would have been nice, because they are located on the far side of down town...

Not clean, stayed 1 hour and left. No staff around. Had to sleep in our truck! Not happy.

The hotel is nothing fancy! But neither is the price! It was clean. They have shuttle service to the airport, even took us to a restaurant for breakfast. Then we walked to get our rental car. If your JUST looking for a place to sleep, It's good! We got in about 9:30 pm and left at 6:00 am. Just what we were looking for. Have stayed there 3 times now.

The hotel was nothing special that's for sure. Not very clean and no maid service to change sheets or towels - disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel.

a older part of town.fairly good price for time of year.hotel older and showing age

This motel lobby and room was dirty and the room had a window broken with glass missing. It was taped back together. I feared for my safety in this room. I would recommend that you do NOT stay at this motel.

This place advertises as having an airport shuttle, but no one was available to drive it, so I had to take a taxi from the airport. I had stayed here once before and one of the other guests had driven the shuttle to pick me up on that trip! Some kind of centipede bug on my bed. Drunk woman screaming outside the room for well over an hour. Low price, but not worth the savings (blew it on a taxi anyway)
