A quaint, quiet, clean, off the beaten path hotel. Very friendly staff, and once over your initial surprise of the steep staircase from the street to the reception area, it was lots of fun. I’d stay there again because of its central location to many tourist attractions and easy tram access.
Stayed at Nadia Hotel for 3 nights in early April 2018. LOVED the location. The stairs were steep and there is no elevator, however, this was not a huge issue for us. I had a quad room with a canal view on the 3rd floor (reception and breakfast was on 2nd floor)/which was GREAT. Breakfast was ok (coffee, tea, yogurt, croissants, and cheese). It is a great value based on the location (7 minute walk to Dam Square and 3 min walk to Anne Frank Museum). I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again.
We booked this online with no difficulties before we traveled. We flew into Amsterdam and got the impression that the Nadia was just a "short walk" from the airport. Let me elaborate on that a little! It IS near Dam Square and not too far from the airport, BUT the streets are cobblestone and crowded. Carrying shoulder bags while bouncing wheelies over those roads made for a long trek! Will grab a cab next time! Watch close for the hotel! Small door off the sidewalk. And when you open the door you have barely enough room to get in before you encounter a long, steep, red carpeted staircase and registration is at the TOP! (There is no lift that I recall.) Someone met us right away and told us to stow our luggage in the tiny "lobby" off to the right. Staff was incredibly helpful (they moved our luggage for us during check in AND out) and very friendly. It's an old building, so hallways are narrow and rooms are small, but adequate and clean. Small safe in the room. We had a beautiful bouquet of mini roses that greeted our tired eyes when we got to our room! The breakfast room (same level as registration!) is a delightful little room with a variety of bread offerings, yogurt, etc. Loved all the plants in it and on the tiny balcony! Remember to turn your key in before you head out on any excursions. Would happily stay here again!
Very small room, but it’s clean and functional. Decent free breakfast & location is awesome! Just abt 2-3mins walk away from Anne Frank House & walking distance to Dam Square (approx 10mins or less). Good hotel that’s reasonably priced.
The staff so friendly and welcoming especially their Egyptian manager, location is perfect, bed is too comfy ,really had a good time and felt at home The stairs wasn’t that bad for me as they always help you in caring your luggage
Booked this for the relatively low price but was surprised at how nice this was. The decor is dated but it’s clean and cosy and the best was the lovely receptionist who was friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations for food as well. Yes the staircase is steep: IT IS AMSTERDAM. No need to complain about something so typical in my opinion. Great stay. Oh and the breakfast was simple but very delicious!
This is a great value for the price and location in Amsterdam. Yes, the stairs are steep - it's Amsterdam. But someone was always willing to help me with my bags. Yes, the rooms are small, but again, its Amsterdam. The location more than makes up for it - plus, who spends all their time in the hotel? I would definitely stay here again!
Me and my boyfriend stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 days and we loved it. The staff is very gentle and they'll help you choose among the various amount of activity you can do in Amsterdam! Situated close to the centre, we want to come back soon! Elane
Fantastic location near the Westerkerk and the Jordaan. Stayed here before and will do so again when I'm next in Amsterdam. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value single room had everything I needed for a short visit.
This 2 star B&B is centrally located, a tram stop is very close. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The hotel actually has single bedrooms, that are cute and cosy. It was a bit unfortunate that there was a cold spell in Amsterdam (End Feb 2018) and the room was a bit cold (single glazed windows). But I was provided with blankets; blankets were also put on the window sill. The room had a TV, coffee/tea maker and also a safe. Continental breakfast - enough to get you going. Be aware that there is no lift, but a very steep, two story staircase (as in all old Amsterdam buildings!). But the staff carries your suitcase to your room for you :)
