Good central location walking distance to many attractions. Exterior of hotel should be maintained more regularly as there was a pile of garbage in front when we arrived. Bathroom did not offer much in terms of privacy with frosted glass walls that could be seen through - this could be an issue for some. Room was clean and hotel staff helpful and friendly. Great option to check bags before checking in and once checked out.

The Melrose Hotel is in an amazing location! We found it easy to get to and from everywhere we wanted to see while in Amsterdam. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very basic hotel with minimal amenities but very good for the price.

Positives: Air Condition that works - very few ACs can keep up with heatwaves (90+) but this hotel AC worked Location - close enough to all the attractions but not too close to be too loud. Negatives: Not as clean and the beds are so-so and some odd smells Bathroom setup for non-solo travelers - family are just odd in that they are open

Comfortable hotel with good complimentary coffee and tea option in the morning. Family room a little light but functional and clean. Location excellent and in a trendy area with walkable access to most tourist spots. Staff friendly and helpful. Beware tourist tax!

The front desk took about 10 minutes before anyone showed up. There was also a wet spot on the floor near my bed. There are also panels that basically cover all of the window, so there’s so view. It felt like a basement even though I was on floor 2. I needed it for only one night. I’ve had worse hotels and experiences. I would go again only for the price, but not longer than one night
