We visited here as we were up the road staying at Gaasper camp site. We both had a build your own burger. We both loved the food and waitress was friendly and helpful. Good prices, we may stay here in the future as it's a 2 minute walk away from the metro which then is a 20 minute trip and you're into central Amsterdam.
Stayed here over Easter 2018 whilst attending the Holland Cup football tournament representing Matlock Town FC. We had a party of 10 adults taking 5 rooms, all rooms were clean and comfortable with TV, complimentary tea and coffee. Rooms are basic but very comfortable. We travelled overnight on the team coach and arrived at the hotel approx 7am, check in was 2pm but the receptionist (Elisabeth) worked wonders and had rooms available for us at 10am. She also arranged for us all to take breakfast whilst we waited, buffet style breakfast with hot and cold foods, the choice of items was vast. We also stayed and eat in the restaurant on our last night again the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was €14 for two people Friday, Saturday & Sunday. A pint of Heineken was €5.20 G &T €11.00. A real advantage for this hotel is the Metro was oppersite the hotel at Gaasperlas and ran every 7 mins into Amsterdam centraal which took approx 30 minutes and cost €17.50 per person for 3 days and covered Metro, Trams, Trains and buses, an absolute bargain, Dutch public transport in fantastic clean and very reliable always on time. So the Metro line goes right past Amsterdam arena (Ajax) football stadium and right into the centre. We will return to this great city and we will stay at Campanile again so please book with confidence. Richard & Sharon Offler
Came here with my boyfriend as a birthday present. Hotel was exactly how it’s described, clean & comfortable. Couldn’t ask for anything else, can’t coment on hotel food as we didn’t try it but I’m sure it is very nice! From schiphol airport take the train to bijlmer arena -3563 venlo (13 mins, 2 stops.) Get onto the bus number 47 - station holendrecht (13 mins, 9 stops.) From this stop you can see the hotel so you know directly were you are going. To get into the center get onto the metro 53 your the first stop! & the centre is the last stop! (Very straight forward!)(15-20mins!) anything easy to get to by the trams very straight forward to work out! (If not ask someone and they will point you into the right direction.) Best to get Day passes which can be used on the busses, metro & trams. Just make sure you clock in and off your journey (no need on metro!) You have to try the chips! Find the one that’s the best in Holland just down from the start of the shops just down from the entrance of the metro. Hope this helps someone else out, who hasn’t been here before x
We stayed here for two night. The bed was very comfortable the shower was great. Brilliant as it’s location next to the metro which is great as you aren’t in the centre of Amsterdam. The only downside was the breakfast not a great choice and what was there wasn’t that good.
Having stayed in Campanile hotels in France many times before we knew just what to expect; a motel style room with comfortable bed, tea and coffee tray and a standard sized bathroom. Here it was much the same but with a few differences – to begin with there is a lift to the upper floors and 24-hour reception. Although perhaps a renovation would not be out of place, the hotel did provide us with a very homely base for our 4-night stay in Amsterdam especially during the cold, dark days of January when their efficient heating was greatly appreciated; a good sized radiator kept the room very cosy, much better than any fancy reversible air conditioning! We took dinner a couple of times in the restaurant and again were very pleased with the service. One major advantage of this hotel is its close proximity to the Gaasperplas Metro station – less than a minute's walk from the front door, and being no lovers of driving around large cities looking for overpriced parking, our car remained all the time in the hotel's free car park. Passes for the metro, tram and bus for one or more days are sold in the hotel and can even be added to your bill. All in all we felt it was an excellent choice and with the very reasonable room rates, we will not hesitate to book again, hopefully next time during the summer, when we can also take advantage of the large park behind the hotel, as well as Amsterdam itself again.
This hotel is located in an ideal location with plenty of parking and easy access to the city by the local metro. The hotel needs to be improved with modern bathroom and interior design looks like this has not been done for a while. The staff are friendly and full of good advise. The restaurant is very basic and not a high standard great of you are hungry nothing to get excited about
We just visited this hotel and it was perfect for what we needed. It was cheep and only 20 minutes on the metro from central station. The room was very basic and small but it had a comfy bed, a good working shower and a TV so I couldn't have asked for more. The staff at reception were very helpful and really nice. Would definitely stay here again.
A quiet motel-style hotel opposite Gaasperplaz Metro station in South-East Amsterdam. Rooms are clean and quiet, and arranged in a motel style with external walkways and doors direct to the secure car park. Pricing during our stay was a competitive 65-70 Euros/night. On-site meals are available at breakfast lunch and dinner, reasonably priced. Being opposite the Metro station there are excellent public transport links to central Amsterdam with a direct Metro service every 10 minutes (20 minute journey time). Being at the end of the line, there is also no noise from passing trains. A nice park and lake adjacent to the hotel if you fancy a stroll. I would certainly consider using this hotel again if making another visit to Amsterdam.
Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of November. Having never been to Amsterdam the hotel was easy to find and right next to the Metro station which was fantastic. On arrival the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very basic, with basic amenities but perfect as a base, the room was clean (apart from the floor, which was a little dirty but not a problem just wear socks to walk around in). The beds were comfy enough and as we were on the 3rd floor there was hardly any noise. The bathroom was clean and the shower was in perfect working order. One thing I will suggest is ask for plenty of tea & coffee, milk & sugar as this was not replaced daily & we had to constantly go to reception & ask for them to be replenished. It’s definitely worth buying a travel pass at the hotel if you have no car as these were definitely €22 (each) well spent. Having the metro station right next door is definitely an added bonus, the metro trains were frequent & took about 30 mins to get to Amsterdam central, just perfect for us. I can’t comment on the food as we never ate at the hotel. Overall my partner & I were very satisfied with our stay, thank you to all the staff at Hotel Campanile.
Did not have any expectations but was pretty disappointed from our stay. The good points: close to the motorway, free ample parking and a Metro station just across the road. The bed points: Small, run down, claustrophobic room.Very, very basic room-no hair dryer,no fridge, not even a rubbish bin. It does the job if you are on a very tight budget, but I would not return.
