It is a good place to stay, not far from the airport, and halfway to the city centre. Facilities are good, bathroom was modern and very nice. AC was not working properly.

Warning

Never again. The manager was hot-headed and aggressive! The breakfast was a mess with unripe fruits, cheap discount bread, no pastries and the toaster did no work. Our room was dirty, had a broken window and a leftover sock. The had one decent girl in the reception all other staff was stressed out and behaved like kids. I feel kind of bad leaving this review, but there is many great hotels in Amsterdam NOT the new kit.

Good hotel for short trip

The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was big enough for a short trip with a family but shaped in an unusual (child-unfriendly) way. It was nice to have parking in a paid garage but cumbersome to carry all luggage the long way from the car/garage to the room. The breakfast was expensive with very limited choice and bread/rolls needed to be ordered. There is public transport in front of the hotel but it takes 30-60 minutes to get to the centre.

Hotel New Kit was a great place to stay for my overnight trip! Easily accessible by transit and just a short bus ride from Amsterdam Central. Very clean room and hospitable staff. Highly recommended for solo travellers and groups!

Right next to the metro station so convenient to get into the city although this is a 20/30 minute journey. Also only a short journey from the airport. Rooms are clean with tea and coffee facilities. Coffee machine downstairs for guests. Nice location next to the river with some benches outside. Staff spoke English and were friendly. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel on the last day and pick them up on the way back to the airport.

I would return

Lovely hotel but the day i was there for 2 days i had to ise the stairs to get to my room with a bad knee, i ordered food and the front desk could not call me because the phone in the room was clearly for display and not working these were my only issues regardless to that it was a good place and would stay here again all friendly staff
