Crowne Plaza Amsterdam Schiphol

Nice and quite neighborhood, very helpful staff. Good breakfast with all options. Only down side is property is old and a little renovation is required to bring it on mark of Crowne Plaza.

The hotel has an airport shuttle which makes it convenient to catch a train to the city center via Schiphol. A train station is accessible for about 10 min walk. The Hotel was a little bit dated but the rooms are clean. We booked the hotel with breakfast and that was great too. Friendly and very nice staff. We are a family of 4 and the price for it was reasonable.

Good location for the international business traveler. 65334064

This hotel provide fast check in and late check out, good for anyone taking a break before entering buzzy amsterdam

Room was good but nothing exceptional. Amenities were lacking for a 4 star hotel. Bed was not the most comfortable. Very clean and hotel staff were very good and helpful. Air conditioning was good. Dining room was very pricey. E 22,000 for a continental breakfast was expensive. We also stayed at another comparable hotel in the area that had a complimentary breakfast. Dinner was ordinary but also expensive.

My Daughter and I had a 24 hour layover in Amsterdam built in to our travel schedule and we wanted to visit Anne Frank's House in the city center plus be located close to the airport for an easy departure trans atlantic the next day. The Crown Plaza fit the bill for us. You have to go to hotel shuttle pick up area for a free ride to the hotel (there is a push button phone to call during off schedule times) There is a 7-8 Euro fee for the return trip. When we checked in there were no rooms left with two beds so they offered an upgrade to a two room suite. Very nice. Staff was helpful with directions to train station (within 10 minute walk) to travel down town. they also advised us of a shortened train schedule due to it being New Year's Eve. We were able to see all we wanted in the down town area and return to a comfortable clean room. I am not sure why but we did receive complimentary return airport shuttle tickets which just added to an already great hotel experience.

Fast check-in, nice room and walking distance to the center of Hoofddorp and the train station.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I had a newly renovated room, which was superb. The location of the hotel was great because it was close to the airport, but also close to the train station which allowed easy access to downtown Amsterdamn. Great value.

I didn't have much time to book the hotel because I hadn't planned on staying in amsterdam but ended up there because of the volcano. I booked it because it had free shuttle - beware it is free from the airport to the hotel only. 7.50 euro to get back to the airport.

Nice staff, good location for Airport and Train

a perfect nighton a connection flight !

I booked this hotel based on the photos; however, when we arrived it was obvious that the pics were of another hotel and not this one. the first photo you see are of the actual outside of the hotel; however, when you click to see more photos it's a very different hotel you see set on a river with a boat taxi to take you up and down the river! this hotel was nice, clean, staff friendly, but it's not the hotel i booked!

Overall a good hotel but the shuttle service is not free from the hotel to the airport. It is only free from the airport to the hotel.

The hotel has a free shuttle to take you from Schipol to the hotel. It runs every 30 minutes. The return trip will cost you 7.50 Euros (about $10). I strongly suggest you use the train instead. For about $1 Euro, you can get between the hotel and the Airport. For about 4.5 Euros the train will take you into Amsterdam Central. The train station is to the left of the hotel (Hoopddorf station) and takes exactly 8 minutes to walk there. As for the hotel, it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The rooms are well appointed and, for the price I paid (via Orbitz) a real steal. This room was half the cost of the Renaissance in downtown Amsterdam. I know as I've stayed at both. For the money and creature comforts, I would stay at this Renaissance (Hoopddorf) over the one downtown.

The Crown Plaza in Sciphol was a very enjoyable place to stay. The stay was very friendly and extremely helpful. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, more comfortable than my Simmons backcare mattress!! It was so comfortable that I drifted off with in moments of laying down, amazing! The staff happily answered any questions we had and even printed us a map for the location of the local library and shopping plaza. Our room had a safe which was great for storing our valuables when out on the town. It also had a mini-fridge which was nice, but it didn't have a very large storage space for us (the majority of the fridge was the mini-bar) which was ok since we didn't really have much that needed refrigeration anyway. The room had a large desk and lots of lighting. The tv even had hook ups for our ps2 and additional inputs for a computer & audio system. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom didn't seem sufficient, if they were to install just one more light over the sink then it would be perfect. The location is about a 20 minute ride via the train to Amsterdam Central station. It was a quiet and peaceful area which was fine for us since we basically only returned to the hotel to sleep. Overall, a very nice place.

The hotel was good, I was extremely disappointed that the hotel we stayed. The hotel is located rather far from Amsterdam, plus free shuttle to the hotel but not on the return trip was a surprise to us.

The Hotel was very friendly.

Felt very safe and satisfied with my stay. The staff was execellent, I will stay there again.

The Crown Plaza Hotel Amsterdam Schiphol Was very friendly and a great value. The room and pool offset the disadvantage that the hotel was quite a distance from Amsterdam.Even though I would still recommend this hotel
