Had a lovely five night stay here with my boyfriend the other week. We had been to Amsterdam before but had never stayed at this hotel. We found a great deal for the rooms especially considering it has 4 stars. It was easy to get to from the airport - got the train to Sloterdijk station and then the 15 bus to the hotel. It was also very easy to get to the city centre on the tram 14 or bus 21. Unfortunately there was no hotel bar but there were supermarkets around the corner where alcohol is really cheap! Our rooms were cleaned spotlessly every day by Adrian and the room was decorated lovely. The windows unfortunately did not open and the air conditioning was very bad even when on full so the room was nearly always too hot for us. Apar from that our stay was wonderful and I would recommend this hotel.
My partner and I had a two night stay here whilst visiting Amsterdam. On the first day it took us a while to find the hotel, but as soon as we arrived, we asked reception the easiest way to get into the city centre and the bus stop was right around the corner, not far to walk at all and it took 10/15 minutes to get into the centre. The hotel is situated in a slightly rough area, but it would not put us off staying here again. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was currently being refurbished and we believe our room was one that had been recently done. There was furniture in the hallway in the process of being removed. The room and the bathroom was very clean, the water was always hot but the room could have done with a small fridge we felt. It was quiet on the whole in the hotel and hardly heard any noise from our room. Overall we would stay here again!
Really enjoyed our stay here, the receptionists and cleaners were the friendliest and most helpful people ever. So close to public transport with great facilities around will always stay here when I'm back. Breakfast has a huge variety and coffee is lovely. 100% 5 star rating
The hotel is 10-15 from Dam square by tram. Clean, comfortable, decent breakfast, nice and helpful staff. There are two supermarkets right next to the hotel which is very convenient. There is free wifi but it wasn't 100%...
Distinctly average. The location is not that great if you want the centre a 17€ uber ride or a tram ride. Which, the trams get confusing, so we got lots of Uber's. The room Decor seems like a semi attempt to bring them to modern, but, by changing a couple of lamps and the wall paper. Not really getting it. The tray of tea and coffee was naff. Carpet stained. New looking bathroom though. Be sure to pay deposits for everything, plugs, ironing board and so on. But of a nuisance as only accepted cash and kept having to go up and down to get things you would think would be in the room. Breakfast was nasty. I think we got there about five minutes to the end, so probably our fault really, but it was not good at all, although they apologised and gave us a refund for breakfast. For the money and clean beds, it was okay. Not a place I can see myself going back to, nothing really bad, just too far out really and for a few extra quid rather stay elsewhere.
The hotel is a nice hotel, with a great location in the middle of all public transportation like Metro, Tram, Bus. The room is spacious. The furniture was all replaced by new elegant modern furniture which added better decoration for the rooms. They are also replacing the coffee machines by new ones. they restaurant is in the first floor with a nice look to the main street, and as they promised me, they will add new items to the Breakfast and will remove some other items, and they will have different menus every day. I would like to stay in this hotel another time. There are plenty of Turkish restaurants offering "Halal Food" for Muslims around the hotel.
The hotel is very conveniently located. Staff was extremely nice in helping us. They had free Apples for guests in the lobby. Room was big enough and so was the Bathroom. It could be a tad bit cheaper as its actually a 3 Star Hotel. It doesn't have Fitness Center or a Gym. They could also include the Breakfast in room price.
Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Amsterdam with my daughter and despite initial appearances we were very happy. I knew the hotel wasn't central but the transport links are great with a choice of 2 main tram routes and a bus all available just at the front of the hotel. The frequency is great too and we never waited more than 5 minutes. Journey into centre takes about 12 minutes. The location is very residential and not one of the wealthiest areas of the city. The hotel's main entrance is tucked round a corner behind a KFC and there were some undesirable looking groups of youths at night, that said it was always busy enough so we didn't feel unsafe. The fact that there are 2 decent sized supermarkets practically next door was also great as we could purchase drinks for our room and we bought warm croissants for breakfast ( much cheaper than the hotel's breakfast). There's also KFC breakfast if you wanted it ! We arrived in the midst of the refurbishment so the foyer was a storage area and the lifts full of bits of wood . Fortunately we were on floor 10 and had a newly refurbished room. Ask for a higher floor ( floor 11 top) as they have the views and you're not looking into office blocks or concrete. Room was great. Very clean. Tea coffee and toiletries, loads of towels and much cheaper than other more central poorer quality hotels. We found the reception staff very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely use this hotel again. BTW very easy to get to from the airport. Sprinter train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station ( make sure you have change for self service machines at station - 4euros 50 for a single ) . Down stairs to catch a number 15 bus one stop to Bos en lommerplein. Look for KFC and go round corner and then again to find entrance to hotel. We purchased 72 hour travel cards at the I Amsterdam shop on the station concourse so we could use them straight away on bus and didn't have to mess with paying bus drivers. You have to scan them when you get on and when you get off the buses and trams. Train tickets have to be purchased separately.
Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights on a room only basis. It's a 5 minute walk from the metro station in a quiet residential area beside a shopping area that includes a KFC and a fairly big supermarket. The front of the hotel is pretty much just the front door and when we walked in the foyer floor was covered in bits of cardboard and other building material and the whole place was taken up with new furniture. I wasn't impressed at not being informed beforehand about the refurb. Check in was quick and as soon as we got to the room my annoyance went. Our room was brand new. You could smell the newness in the furniture. It was a perfectly good sized room, big tv for a hotel, comfy beds (albeit 2 singles pushed together), coffee and tea facilities, a beautiful bathroom with all the toiletries and never ending hot water and everywhere was spotless. The shower, which runs off the bath taps, wasn't great in that the water kept getting cold. We never ate or drank here but the staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was very very quiet and we never heard any indication there was a refurb happening. When we go back to Amsterdam we will probably stay here if the price is right again! We paid €201, including the 5% city tax, for 3 nights room only which is excellent.
Myself and my wife arrived here on the 13th of febuary this year and it was a late arrival so we got there after half 11 at night. When we got to the desk we were told by the young man on the desk that our booking had been cancelled and there was no more rooms available and he wanted to move us to a hotel further out. We asked why the booking was cancelled and he said it was nothing to do with him. He said we could stay there for one night and move the next morning but at a charge of 76euro. We took the room as we had no choice but he did just not want to explain anything to us. The next morning we went down to reception with our bags and met a lovely woman called Bouchra who was a delight and sorted a room for us in that hotel for a little extra cost but it was no hassle for her to find us a room she was very very helpful and will go very far in her job.. as for the guy who was on the desk on the night we arrived he should not be allowed on the front desk to deal with any customers.as for sleeping there was loud banging music going on at all hours made several complaints and still went on for 3 days straight so that was also not acceptable
