The place is not value for money and does not deserve 4 stars. When I entered the room - which was for 4 persons so quite large - I noticed a hair in the sink and grey stripes in the bathtub, such as it was decades old. The dossier that usually 4 stars hotel leave on the cupboard was dirty and heavily used. There is a daily market nearby making the surroundings (full of turkish people) very dirty in the evenings and The hotel entrance is pretty ambigous being near a highway tunnel making it very unusual for a 4 star hotel. I felt a bit unsafe. Despite the location the bed and quietness of the hotel was ok. The most unacceptable thing was to have dirty spoons in the breakfast area. I had to check them one by one to find a clean one. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, definitely not to recommend.
I'll start with the breakfast which not even a pig would eat it let alone people. The staff is arrogant probably because they are not treated all too well. Three elevators but one seemed out of service for the full week. It takes you ten minutes to breakfast just to take the elevator. Rooms were clean but stinks of cigarettes although it's clear that it's non smoking. But there are ways how to remote such stink. Mostly thanks to smoker idiots who fail to follow regulation. Close to transportation and seems to have an adjacent garage.
Nice hotel for the price, but the area of town where it is located was not so nice. But it is located next to tram so you can easily get into the city of Amsterdam. Overall it was all we needed for us.
We found ourselves a little further from the city centre than anticipated but with frequent bus and tram service from outside the hotel you can be at Dam Square in 25 mins. The immediate area has a large middle eastern population and it was fascinating to see all the stalls at the street market next to the hotel. Our room was large and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was 10 euro extra but we stocked up on fruit and pasties at the supermarket nearby and ate in the room. There is no bar in the hotel and none in the immediate area that I noticed so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for party animals who like to fall straight from a bar stool to their hotel bed!! Overall this is a very adequate and modern hotel if a little off the beaten track.
We stayed here for 2 nights with a group of almost 20 pax. Staff/ personnel are friendly and helpful. Our room esp the bathroom is spacious. Mattress is not too soft though but you can sleep on it comfortably. Breakfast is spread is not a lot but I like their selection. They have cereals, meat, beans, egg, and yummy desserts. Great thing about this hotel is accessibility. You can take the tram going to the city center or an uber taxi. We took uber going central station and paid only €11. Since I have 2 other friends with me, when we divided the fare by 3, it is really reasonable. Overall, I will recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in a very comfortable area close to M50 , useful to catch airport train, Tram 14 (Dam Plaza) and bus 51 (Central Station). It is possible rent a bicycle and transportation tickets at reception. Receptionists are kind and available .
Farther from the center of town, but a better price because of that. Nothing spectacular, rooms were ordinary but clean. Easy trolly ride into the center. A grocery store nearby to buy food to eat in your room. Staff was friendly. Didn't spend much time here, only to sleep. Beds were comfortable.
Amsterdam Best Western Blue Tower hotel for me and my family for 2 nights was an awesome experience! I loved the spacious quadruple room that we had. The view from the hotel was also very beautiful. The breakfast was at a reasonable price and there was a large spread that we got to taste. The hotel also has free wi-fi. The receptionists were very helpful by telling us the routes to many tourist spots. The hotel is well connected and the Central Station was pretty close if you go by bus. But it was a bit expensive. Having a supermarket next door, you wouldn't need to worry about the basics. Overall, we loved our stay there.
This hotel is situated in the suburb of Sloterdijk, about 15-20 minutes form Schiphol airport and Amsterdam central. If you’re thinking that’s a bit far out from the main areas of Amsterdam, don’t worry as the tram and bus stops are 2 minutes from the hotel. This is a solid chain hotel, the room we stayed in had modern decor, a good size bathroom, a bath tub with a shower above which had good water pressure. Plenty of hanging space for clothes, flat screen television with some English speaking channels and a Nespresso machine with complementary coffee pods. We stayed for two nights, check in and check out was very efficient. The room was cleaned during our stay with the beds being made and fresh towels left in the bathroom. We didn’t opt for breakfast but we did pop in for a tea and the buffet looked pretty good. I have given this hotel an average rating as the refurbishment of our room hadn’t been completed (skirting board was missing). For the price and location I would recommend this hotel to others and if I was to travel back this way I wouldn’t have a problem with staying here again.
different times in this hotel near in the Amsterdam centrum , easy parking e good breackfast, the staff is very very disponible for check in end check out. taxi service speed, cleane room, good position.
