It is the only hotel in the area so it doesn't really have to do a lot to ensure it is well used. For a hotel which is supposed to above mid range to use bed toppers is a poor show in my eyes and you can never get the sheets to stay on them. Although my bed was made up every day the floor was never properly swept although to be honest they kept the bathroom immaculately clean. There was no coffee available for the 1st 4 days as they had run out. Not good for a hotel this size and who points it as a special extra..

Location was good, a further from the train than I thought, but that was on me. Great price for where it was. Everything was in good condition as the pictures, staff was great to answer any questions.

Decent Hotel between Amsterdam and Utrecht

I was able to find Bastion Almere based on the search function for a location I visited recently. It is not much of a luxury chain in that it is very no frills - no proper hand soap in the bathroom, based a little out of town, etc. The bed was very nice and the room itself was quite large without actually containing too much. The other facilities, e.g. the gym, are limited but still a nice touch, while the free parking is a plus. The staff are decent without exactly being friendly but they get the job done.
