A beautiful home and property - perfect place to stay and relax to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Charlene is the best host ever welcoming us with pastries and a personal note. She always responded quickly and wanted to make sure everything was just right.We would stay here again!

Late October family getaway

Beautiful home on the west side of the lake with gorgeous lake views! Large home, stylishly decorated, huge backyard, wraparound back deck, and so much outdoor seating! Our host was attentive, friendly, and provided so many amenities. We would book again in a heartbeat! Unforgettable and meaningful memories were made. *Dinner at The Lodge - Wild Olives was delicious. Looking forward to a return visit. Jenny

Amazing family time!

Such a perfect place to get our family together! California, Thailand, New Hampshire, Leawood. So impressed that the home had everything you could possibly need! Very well planned and thought out. We also rented the bunk room for the kids! So nice that they had their own space at night.We all had so much fun swimming, floating and kayaking! Fishing was the best for everyone. Do have to say that our 8 year granddaughter caught the biggest fish! Almost 3 lbs! We will definitely return! Thank you so much!!

Beautiful lake house!

Wonderful property! Swimming and boat dock is convenient and tons of fun. Second fishing dock is peaceful and a great place to watch the boating action. House is very comfortable. Easy and quick communication with owners! Thanks for another great stay!

Great house, Great location

Our whole family enjoyed our third stay at the lake front house. The house has plenty of space for everyone, the kitchen is great for cooking meals, and the bathrooms are clean.

Best VRBO Lake House Ever!

This home had more family gathering space and amenities than any lake home we have rented (20 or more). Spacious and well-equipped kitchen with 12-person dining room table. There is also great outdoor seating for a large group. We were only 6 so we didn't utilize the bunk room space in the lower level. This is a great home for our size group or a larger group with all of the sleeping arrangements. Tons of games to play and water equipment (kayaks, lily pad, floats and life jackets) so no need to bring anything. Two dock options for play and fishing with great, clear deep water. The large three-car garage was fabulous for loading up in the rain this morning!

Fabulous family time!

This is our second year staying at Lakeview Retreat and we hope to have many more annual family lake vacations here. It is perfect for our three generations with a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to suit everyone. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We boat, fish and swim off the dock, spend lots of time on the deck, take walks and bike rides in the neighborhood, play board games at night, and have lively family dinners at the ample covered picnic table on the deck. We are so grateful for the lasting memories created here. Charlene is a wonderful hostess. You should definitely give this property a try - you'll be glad you did!

Perfect Getaway

We rented the house as a surprise to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We had 2 families with teens and young adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is better than advertised and Charlene's extra effort and personal touches made the weekend so memorable. We will definitely be returning!

This is the second time to stay at this home. It’s beautiful and the owners are wonderful! They really pay attention to every detail and want you to have an amazing stay. The house has great amenities and we couldn’t ask for more. We’ve already booked our trip for next year!

Spacious and comfortable

So many beds! If you need a place for a large family/multi-family trip this house is for you. If you rent the extra bunk room in the basement everyone can have a choice of a bed and 3 different tv seating areas throughout the house. Just as many seating choices outside with all the decks and docks. Plenty of room in the kitchen and dining area too. The house was clean and well decorated. Convenient washer/dryer and 3 car garage. It was easy to feel at home during our stay at the lake!

Relaxing Lakeview Retreat
