Arrived on a prepaid booking and was given the keys to my room. Room 90, arrived to find the door had been forced open and no attempt to repair the door apart from a coat of paint, entered the room to find a urine stained double bed and a broken single bed, door to bathroom was broken and there was no power to the air conditioner. Asked for another room, this one was better new bed and no major damage. One big problem for travelers are that there are 100 rooms and 70 car parking spaces with no on road parking nearby
Stayed here for 2 nights and although the rooms were clean didn't feel very safe. Our first room had marks where the door had been kicked in but the new chain couldn't even be closed. We asked to move to the second floor and fortunately they had space to move us. The restaurant had a good breakfast but the dinner choice was limited. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Unlucky for us everything was booked out in Alice springs this was our only option. Pretty disappointed in the cleanliness of this place mould all throughout the bathroom and cockroaches everywhere. Comfortable bed though.
Not much mid range accommodation at the moment in Alice Springs I thought but Ibis was very reasonable and very comfortable. Very nicely laid out and room quite big, good mattress. Very impressed with the service I received from James, the assistant manager, this is how reception desks should be run. Very friendly and extremely helpful and courteous. Had trouble with my tablet and James took a lot of trouble to fix it. Also the free continental breakfast was very good and very nicely laid out. Better then most.
Very noisy hotel, no welcome and no thank you for being a loyal Le club platinum plus member, rooms are run down and need a face lift, concrete stairs need maintenance. I cancelled a stay for a few nights after my initial night as the double tree by Hilton was only $104 a night, bargain. Better hotel, better rate and modern/quiet.
Our 5th visit to Ibis Styles Alice, Very well located, excellent Bar, Restaurant, Pool set up with outside dining and shades over the pool. Ideal for families with small children, but also relaxing after work/site seeing. Great bed comfort as per all Accor facilities.
We had 3 days at the Ibis, very comfortable room. Staff very friendly. Would recommend this hotel. Room had a fridge, free wifi. Breakfast was ok. Handy for visiting nearby attractions, enjoyed the Flying Doctor experience/
We stayed for one night at this hotel and were sorely disappointed by the lack of care and cleanliness of our room. Dirty floor with liquid stains on the walls, holes in the ceiling near the air conditioning unit, dust everywhere and a moldy bathroom. The shower was a joke, with water pressure so poor and the shower head so encrusted that the majority of the jet was hitting the ceiling. A couple of roaches were the icing on the cake. For the same price, do yourself a favor and stay at the Chiefly hotel.
We arrived an hour before check-in time but we warmly welcomed and told that our room was ready for us and we were given a map of what is quite a large site comprising 5 2 storey blocks each of around 20 - 24 rooms and several single storey buildings forming the public areas of the hotel. There are also 2 pools one quite large and a smaller one. Our room was on the ground floor of the "Fern Wing" it was a good size with a queen bed and a single. It was reasonably well furnished and decorated and the bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen, there was an good supply towels. The en-suite shower room whilst being a good size and well supplied with was in need of a make-over, mainly a re-tiling of the shower recess in which the floor tiles had been poorly laid such that the floor of the shower didn't drain properly, I should say that the both room and en-suite were clean. During our stay we had the continental breakfast (included in the room rate we paid) which we really enjoyed except that one morning there was no yoghurt (previous mornings we had a choice of natural or fruit) though there was plenty of fruit, cereal and breads. We had dinner in the restaurant one night of our stay and though the menu was limited the meal we had was cooked to perfection and was reasonable in price. The hotel is well located just a 10 minute walk into the centre of town and though we didn't have a car on this occasion there looked to be plenty of parking space around each of the main accommodation blocks. The Wi-Fi was easily accessed and most of the time was a good speed though once, in the afternoon, it was running very slow. Overall, we shall be happy to stay at the Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis next time we are in Alice Springs
This is a very tired hotel which needs updating. It is very grubby and untidy around the surrounds. The room cleanliness has a lot to be desired, very dusty. We have been here for a week and the leaves outside our door have not been swept. The small menu is good. Overall, this should be classed as a 2.5 star hotel at the moment. Accor need to improve this hotel if they want members to use it. Disappointed as an Accor member.
