First this is a true five star hotel. Generally it is overpriced during high season. The hotel is closed several months in winter. Perhaps that is why it is overpriced. I have been there in September, a medium season with fair price. However in such a luxury hotel you expect no fault irrespective of the season. I have to say our stay was generally good. However as a hotel reviewer I have the following remarks. 1. The room is nice. The reception was considerate to allocate a room complying with our request. The air condition was shut down and we had to call and wait the maintenance to fix it. Bulbs of the shade lamp and the bathroom were burnt off. 2. The bath tub is a problem. It has no slipping mat. No hand rails inside to grab to avoid slippery bath tub. A short glass shield results in spilling water during shower. No enough hangers for towels for two people close to the sink. No enough facility for your clothes while showering. 3. To sit and watch the sea view is not available anywhere. The sand of the beach is a man-made with higher elevation at the water front, thus little further you don't see the sea. Only at the so -called suit lounge you have sea view. However we have been dissmesd from the lounge since we were a regular room occupant. Please put a sign indicating " only for suites " , thus to avoid embarrassment of other guests. Around the swimming pool you must sustain all day noisy loud music of a monotonous DJ. 4. About food. Breakfast is excellent in all respects. Dinner is mediocre. No recepies, it is repetitive without imagination. Four nights, shawarma, kofta, molokhia, roast chicken....etc. you are not sure they are of the day or the day before. We had to have bread and cheese as dinner. However excellent fruits was always available. 5. We reserved a H/B plan with a minibar filled once upon arrival as reservation email said. It never happened without apology. Never mind it is not a big issue. 6. Please start night animation little earlier and on time. Indicate your program in advance or let the reception know about it beforehand. After all we thank you for our good stay and be sure we shall be back.

we booked 2 connecting rooms on Aug. 23 till 28, 2017 first bad impression was the check in procedures which take long time, the rooms have a bathtub while we request a shower cabinet, the lamp inside the toilet was not work, we spend long time also for change it, swimming pools was slippy which is dangerous, there was no depth marks on the swimming pools, no life guard, many guests use normal clothes on the swimming pool, beach was very bad.

Simply the best hotel in north coast with all the meaning of luxurious amazing food, services, staff ,location , beach, .....etc. don't hesitate to make Rixos your first choice wherever you go. I had the same fabulous experience when I visited Rixos Sharm and Rixos sea gate. If you didn't visit Rixos hotels in Egypt it means you missed the real Egyptian hospitality.

I spent two knights in Rixos Alalamein and they were incredible. Myself and my family were very happy with the great rooms, beach, swimming pools and the highly professionalism of the staff. Every one in the hotel is looking to serve us and wanna make us happy. Special thanks to the duty manager Mr. Amr Moustafa who follows any small things to satisfy us. I really rate everything 10/10. Thx, Abdulrahman

We visited Rixos Alamein on a weekend with entire family (grandfather, father and children). It was a great opportunity to enjoy the beach (absolutely private) and the wonderful location. There were 2 beaches to be exact. The staff are very friendly and keen on high quality service. The food is the best thing that took our attention. The open buffet was outstanding. It exceeded our expectations. The beach restaurant is very nice and family oriented. Indoor and outdoor gives options to all. The variety and quality of the food is superb. Highly recommended to family's with taste. Price wise, it's acceptable. Due to the lack of competition in the area. And due to the high quality food and location. Rooms are ok. Sea view with a small terrace. Large pools. But who needs pools with such a wonderful beach.

The beach is so clean and beautiful, the pool is very nice, the restaurants are excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic concert hosting Wael Jassar, the service is great, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the rooms are very comforting. And on the last night of our stay, we were presented a wonderful Turkish dinner at Lalezar. By far the best hotel in Egypt, I can't wait to return as soon as I can!

Here is my just got back report. Our family of three had a great vacation time at this nice resort. We left Cairo 6 am in the morning to beat the traffic out of Cairo and it took us nearly 4 hours to get to the hotel, our driver used the new north coast bypass, the hotel is located about midway between Alexandria and Matrouh. Once arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and offered a welcome drink. The checking in was fast, and since we arrived before 11 we were offered breakfast as well. The hotel property is excellent, well laid out, with a great view of the mediterranean sea. Our room was large, well appointed, and actually luxurious for a beach hotel. The hotel has many pools, but we spent all our time on the beach. The wifi is free with a decent signal and available all over the hotel property. Other than the polite and friendly staff, the high point of this hotel must be the high-quality food, this is by far the best food I had experienced in an all inclusive hotel, it is as good or even better than Club Med resorts I have been too. The hotel caters very much to families with kids, if you are looking for some night life, clubs etc look else where. As far as areas of improvement, I would say the hotel can benefit from employing G.O. similar to club med, also, it needs to add other beach related activities such water surfing, wind surfing, nature discovery tours. Also, the hotel does not offer pre planned out of hotel excursions to near by attractions. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

For The past couple of months all I wanted to do is take my family back to Rixos El alamein since we all loved it so much from last year, so that's exactly what we did and we loved it even better, but my experience this year was very special because this time my 9 year old daughter got really sick and had a really high fever, and after I called the front desk and asked for the closest pharmacy they asked me if I needed any help and explained the situation, the GM of the hotel (Serkan)personally called me and sent me the doctor to the room and made sure my daughter had everything she needed and askked me to not hesitate to call him for anything, and then one of the managers (Amr mostafa ) started calling me and asking me if I wanted anything to eat or my daughter since he knew I wasn't going to be able to use the restaurant ,and offered to take me to the hospital if she wasn't getting any better .and thank God she did and had such a great time after. So this review for me is just to say thank to everyone that works at Rixos. Thanks (Atef) at the front desk for always smiling and helpful. Thank you to the waiters and specially (Hany) for always getting us the things that we love before we even ask for it. Thank you everyone for being so kind so carrying so sweet so welcoming and so so wonderful .(And just for the record the food is amazing) So really thank you so much for everything.

I stayed 4 nights with my family at Rixos Alamein, really it was the best vacation ever for us. Hotel is superb, food quality was perfect and my daughters enjoyed the Rixy club activities and mini disco in the evening with Mr.Bioooo Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful the are doing their best to enjoy your stay.

Staying at Rixos Alamein was one of the best experiences of my life. The service was excellent, food was great, and hospitality was out of this world. The beach at Rixos alone is a deal breaker. Best place on the North Coast!
