A quick and unexpected trip brought me to Alexandria. Didn't have much time to select a hotel and picked the Holiday Inn. I arrived around noon, so well before normal check in time. The lady at the front desk didn't see my room as available yet, but offered me either a different room or a short wait. She got with housekeeping and I think it was actually less than 10 minutes and my room was ready to go. Clean, spacious, perfect for my short stay.
Typical Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was adequate. The only complaint was it took forever to get hot water and the hot water pressure in the shower was weak.
I tend to stay at Holiday inns, when traveling for business. Had some colleagues staying here, so I joined them. The room was ok, bed was good , bathroom clean. WiFi never did work. I connected to the hotel WiFi next door with my IHG rewards membership.
Hotel has good size rooms with free wifi and good TV and shower. Hotel also has small pool and fitness centre. Breakfast service was prompt and friendly. Limited local dining options, but Alexandria is not realy a tourist town.
It was so nice! The TV was 40" and the workout facility was fantastic! Also was impressed with the breakfast options. Hot and ready! Awesome for a couple of nights while I was in town for work! Very impressed!
me along with my softball team stayed at this hotel for a week during the softball world series and it was a pleasure staying here. The hotel is in great proximity to everywhere we needed to get to. I really enjoyed the hospitality the staff showed myself and team. They always had a smile on their face, greeted us and kept up with our progress throughout the tournament. The manager even came to support us on championship night. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area
The hotel is newer, it is clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, the rates were very competitive. If you're in Alexandria to play at the sports complex, it is about a 5 minute ride to the park. They were very accommodating to our team.
We normally stay at Holiday inn, we are members of IHG, this hotel is nice, staff was super sweet, breakfast was not so good, we booked the 2 queen bed suite, the beds were more like full size and not very comfortable.. 3rd year in a row. Prolly won't stay here next year...
I have never met so many wonderful people in my whole life of traveling. From the booking and speaking to Lorna and Carol who helped out my friend who arrived a day early. The GM picked me up from the airport with their shuttle and another Manager drove me back. They were very understanding to my friend's needs and bent over backwards to accommodate. I wish I would have gotten more names but I didn't meet one staff member who wasn't exceptional. I work in the tour business and if all of the hotels that we use was like this one I would never have one complaint. If I ever come back to the area I will not hesitate to stay there again
We travel a lot so I'm not a picky hotel person, persay. I do expect a Holiday Inn to be pretty decent though, based on past experience. We stayed here last night on our way from Florida to Texas. The room size was good and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the room smelled terrible. It smelled like marijuana and cigarette smoke that had been badly covered up with fake scent - our clothes and hair smelled terrible. The paper thin floors - ugh - no sound proofing. The people above us started running and yelling loudly from 5-7am. Already bleary-eyed - the ONE hotel elevator was not working. Good times dragging a family of fives luggage down the stairs. The breakfast was hot and good - nice variety of foods available. Wouldn't stay at a newer Holiday Inn again based on this experience.
