Horrible Experience Altogether
Property was run down and obviously neglected inside and out. The decor, furnishings and set up was curious to say the least. Outside was a mishmash of landscaping that was falling apart. The inside appeared to be the same mishmash as the outside, which could have been interesting except every strange aspect of the numerous ideas was done in half-a**ed manner by someone who must surely have had no experience. The morning of our second day, the power went out completely. We tried many times to contact the host to discuss getting help and were for all intents and purposes ghosted by her. Contacted VRBO who in turn attempted to reach her without any more success than we had. So the upshot is the home we paid almost a thousand dollars for three nights, had no electricity, no air conditioning and no help. VRBO finally booked a hotel for us that had definitely seen better days, nice breakfast but that’s about the only thing we can say was positive. We were left to our own devices for our last night and ended up paying over $400 for two rooms and are awaiting a decision almost a month later as to whether we’ll be reimbursed. A NIGHTMARE turned our little fall break vacation with our two grandsons and their Dad.
