So after reading 70% of bad reviews from this hotel I still decided to give it a shot!! BAD idea..... the water park was fun but not all that, the water was to cold for the kids. The rooms sucked, just walking through the halls you can see how dirty it is! Shower is super tiny and get this NO fridge in the rooms so it's a MUST to take an ice chest but then the ice machines don't work lmaoff go figure right!!! What really ticked me off was at check in I repeated to the young lady if anything was going to be placed on hold on my card and she said only $25. The reason why I asked numerous times was because I wasn't paying with that card and I told her if she was going to charge me then I'd give her the card I was going to use to check out. Well of course that was another lie! They ended up holding $300 on my card and left me with literally $0 to my name while staying the weekend there with my family. When I realized what that idiot girl did and ask to speak to the manager "John Micheal" he said NO WORRIES if anything happens let me know. And gave my family and I free breakfast the following day. Whoopie right?!?! NOPE! So we get up for breakfast the next day and the older white man at the restaurant was extremely RUDE and literally said there closed and once I told him they told me breakfast was till 11:30am and was free because of a MESS up on the hotels part he rolled his eyes and said "well make it quick cuz we're closing soon"!!! When I called back John Michael to let him know of the 3 nsfs I had received from my bank cuz of there un trained front desk employees the only thing out of his mouth was "SURE I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND"!! And I said you sure didn't say that when you said to call you if anything happened to your bank and now you want to tell me your not going to do anything other than well I'm sorry!!!!! PLEASE READ all reviews and do not take the chance that I did cuz it's not worth it. Go to the water park but stay somewhere else!!!! This hotel is supposedly getting remodeled and it's a mess! Water leaking from the roof, they have water buckets everywhere so the roof water can fall in there. It's just disgusting!!!! I wish I can rate it a negative
We were walked from the MCM Elegante due to overbooking. The beds were like sleeping on stone. We're still sore in places. The towels were so scratchy they left marks. I will never stay there again!!!!
Stayed for my sons birthday, got two connecting rooms, rooms were ok, nothing fancy, beds were absolutely horrible. There was a nasty old room service tray and old food right near our door. Husband actually tripped on it. We asked to have it removed a bunch of times..Took us getting mad to have it done. Food in restaurant was ok. Waterpark was very very fun .
Hotel is mediocer at best. The restaurant/bar is gross. If you enjoy roaches this is your place. I seen several as my husband and I were trying to enjoy a night out. Tried to tell the manager about it but he was to busy flirting with some girls in the corner of the bar. This was really disappointing as we never get time out with our busy lives. Drinks are over priced the 1lb burger is just rediculous. Really who can eat such a thing. Can't even order a regular size burger. We went there because of the menu online but it wasn't even what they had. Really I dont know who would want to eat there anyway since its infested with roaches. Absolutely disgusting food, drinks and service. Will not be coming back.
I already knew from reading reviews that I would not choose this hotel if not for the water park. However, we did decide to make the four hour drive to have a special treat for my daughter's birthday. We were less than an hour away, past check in time, when we received a call saying the water park was closed. Cue a heartbroken child and spending way more money than we intended for the weekend, scrambling to find things for her to do to make up for it. However, I do understand that that's not necessarily the hotel's fault. Their explanations were vague, but I did hear them telling people it was "mechanical issues." Later in the evening, orange health department stickers appeared on the doors of the water park area, so take from that what you will. We did decide to stay and got some money off since we'd bought a package that included the water park. The room was fine. Small, really dark, but clean enough and worked for a place to stay for one night. When I plugged in my daughter's iPad, fire and sparks shot out of the outlet and destroyed the charger. I filed a report with the desk and was told I'd be contacted about compensation for the destroyed charger. No one contacted me, nor responded to my call about that issue. Again, not necessarily the hotel's fault, but unsettling, of course, and does speak to the run down nature of the building. Whatever. In the morning, we went to shower, only to find that the shower was basically inoperable - when the water was turned to even lukewarm, the pressure died to nothing more than a trickle. At that point, our "well, let's roll with it anyway" attitude was pretty destroyed and my husband went to the desk with our issues. To their credit, we were issued a full refund. We have yet to be contacted or compensated for the destroyed charger. Overall, like I said at the start, I knew from reviews that this was not a place I wanted to stay as an adult looking for a night away. We counted on the water park to make bearing it for a night worth it, for the sake of our kid's birthday. The hotel is not particularly nice and the rooms are not great. The sleep number beds in our room didn't work, and the beds were quite uncomfortable, but fine for one night. More what you'd expect from a Motel 6 and the like. Even if the water park had been open, the fire hazard electrical outlet and lack of ability to shower would have brought us down, for sure. Live and learn, I guess.
I stayed at the Hotel Cascada over a weekend night and had a surprisingly wonderful stay. The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-40 and only a short distance from I-25—which makes travel easy and gives you easy access to most of Albuquerque. The front desk staff is very friendly, professional, helpful, and personable. The hotel looks as if it’s recently been through, or is still going through, a renovation and aesthetically is starting to look stylish. The hotel also provides free Wi-Fi (such a wonderful perk) and is reasonably priced and a good value for your money. The rooms are a good size, feature modern amenities, and have large TVs. The beds are Sleep Number Beds which allows you to adjust the firmness of the mattress. It’s a nice, relaxing night of sleep with the exception of the tiny pillows they provide (a common problem with many hotels nowadays). While the rooms are a good size and have recently been updated, the bathrooms are small and outdated. I went to the water park and it was fantastic for the price and attractions. It’s a clean, fun, and refreshing experience. The staff is friendly, the waterslides are exciting, the lazy river is relaxing, the indoor/hot tub is reinvigorating, and the surf simulator is a kick. It wasn’t very busy when I was there and made the stay memorable. The hotel also has a separate pool and hot tub if you don’t want to go to the water park. Despite the tiny bathrooms and pillows, Hotel Cascada is a great value. You’ll love the waterpark and the delightful staff, big rooms, and solid location will only add to the experience.
My daughter's adoption party was here and were amazed at what we received for our money. We rented a room and they had it decked out with a dance floor and attentive wait staff for a reasonable fee. The space is being remodeled, so parts feel a bit dated and there is construction, but the service and food made up for the minor inconveniences from the remodel. They even gave us a huge discount on the water park the next day so all of the kids could continue to celebrate with our daughter. All of this was thrown together with less than a week's notice due to last minute court scheduling. They truly made this a night to remember for our new daughter and her friends.
Rooms out dated and uncomfortable. My daughter enjoyed the pool and water park but the rooms were to overpriced for the quality. There was a outlet in our room that was not secured into the wall right which was a little scary. I don't think we would stay again.
The water park & the pool were closed. The whole reason we came to this hotel was for the water park. They didn't have an estimated time of when it would be back up. Couldn't get a refund either. Not worth the money. Will never stay here again & I'll let everyone know not to stay here either. Book the Sheraton instead.
The room was OK. It was very stuffy and the A?C had not been on in a long time. I cranked it up and left for hours. Also it was a third party booking so I had the full accessible room. Hope nobody else came who need a roll in showere
