The room was ‘roomy’. The location is great. I had to take the toilet lid off a couple of times and pull the chain to flush.
The location was great and the staff was friendly. We also like the historic nature of the motel.
Great location by the University on bustling street, but the hotel does not have a microwave or coffee pot in the room. Orbitz said that this hotel included breakfast but they only have an icemachine in the lobby. Pool was closed for the season. Hotel needs some tender loving care, that it is not getting.
over priced for a seen its better days motel. Not pretty , but not dirty. Just a old worn out motel. oh and no public ice machine.
I had a very comfortable sleep. The concierge was helpful the bed was great, the room was clean. This was more comfortable than many more expensive hotels.
I stayed three nights, which is about the max I'd stay in a room like this. Nice room, very comfortable bed, but very hard to cool it off. Not sure that the air conditioner is anything more than a fan to circulate air. Even a ceiling fan would help!
We spent four days at Hiway House while working on a museum project in Albuquerque. Location was fantastic, within easy drive to our work site and you can walk to some great restaurants and bars. The rooms are dated but spotless with working AC (very important in summer) and basic amenities. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, it was delightful. We'll stop here again when we are in town.
Family owned, friendly and accommodating. Very clean rooms. Great location along old Route 66. Shops and bars and restaurants all along the strip. One real disappointment was the pool was not up and running...but it seems most motels in town are same...they all have pools but they're not ready for summer.
