Husband and I on a two week vacation in New Mexico. This hotel was the last stop of our vacation. Most of it was fine. But, the desk chair was broken-sank down when sat it and did not pop up. The carpet in front of the small refrigerator was very wet, about 2-3 foot square area in the center of the transit space so had to walk on it repeatedly. They had forgotten to leave bath towels so we had to go back to the front desk. The 'keys' to the room were inconsistent and had to be replaced. The breakfast was OK but less options than many we had in the previous 2 weeks. Fortunately, it started early for us to grab something before heading to the airport. This was the end of the two week Balloon Festival so I imagine the staff was tired and had been stretched to the limit.

The hotel is by no means top notch but was decent for our short stay. The airport shuttle and complimentary breakfast are a big plus. Overall nice stay with no major issues.

I stayed here for almost a week while visiting the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area. Great as a home base when you are making lots of day trips. Positives: -Easy to get to off major highways -Large rooms with small fridge, microwave and coffee maker -Free airport shuttle -Breakfast WIFI included -I got a rate of about $55/ day which is much cheaper than most places -Cleaning staff very nice and did a good job -Convenient parking Negatives: -I hardly slept because to toilet in the room ran constantly, air conditioning extremely noisy and turned on and off all night -Elevator kept breaking down, twice worth people in it -I tried the workout room but neither treadmill worked right and the only other option was a stepper -Room smelled musty like old smoke I would probably consider another stay here based on the positives, but would request a different room next time. I brought the problem of the running toilet to the attention of the desk clerk but it was not fixed during my stay. My friend did not have complaints about his room. Oh, don't bother with the waffles at breakfast. I love a good waffle but when they cool off they are hard on the teeth!

This is our second time staying at this hotel and we like it. Very comfortable and breakfast is always good!

The second time I have been I would stay at the hotel again. Staff friendly service.

Only complaint is that the hot water ran out before my teens could shower. :(

Needed a quick room and this was perfect. Clean room, helpful staff, close to UNM for orientation. Thanks!

This was exactly what we needed after a long series of flights. It was very close to the airport. The bed was perfectly comfortable and breakfast was adequate. We were very happy.

My best summation would be that the staff all did their jobs nicely but what they had to work with was challenging. The chain curiously calls itself suites but our room didn't even have a table. The one armchair had one leg set at a precarious angle so we didn't sit in it. Smoking clearly used to be allowed and the hallways smelled pretty strongly of tobacco, the room slightly so. The bathroom had no shelves or hooks to put things on when showering. The front desk was out of toothpaste. We were staying one night in an airport-shuttle place and my expectations weren't high, given the price, but the place just seemed to have seen better days. That said, the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets weren't scratchy. The staff were all very friendly and the shuttle arrived pretty quickly when we called from the airport.

Our hotel stay was terrible. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and tried to take a nap but, rattling of cooling system was too loud. Towels were thin and frayed. Room was dirty. TV had a line running through the middle. Bathroom floor dirty. No trash liners. Windows didn't work properly. Lighting was insufficient. Breakfast was horrible. Very disappointed in the this hotel location, very noisy intersection and slightly ghetto. My thoughts when reserving here at Hawthorne Suites(which were not suites only a fridge/micro)was to be a better quality hotel which this was not by all means. Very dissatisfied customer.

we had a great time in New Mexico. the weather was perfect. The hotel was very nice and clean. staff was very friendly. would say their again. The Breakfast was just OK. no sweets, like a Danish or breakfast roll, more fresh fruit choices

My stay begins with the front desk personnel Venesssa, she is a world of knowledge. She answer all my questions and inquires, with a great smile. She is polite andsuch a great representative of your hotel. Thank you for making my stay a truly worthwhile stay. Thanks again DR. R. MACK

We had a good experience for our 4 day stay. Our only issues were the room smelled like cats were there before us, the towels were thin and tattered, and the breakfast was ok. We paid a fair price as we checked out one day before the Balloon Festival. Great location just off the I-25.

This hotel is well located for the ABQ airport but shows signs of deferred maintenance and could be cleaned and vacuumed better. Needs plugs on nightables for charging and if you want to charge your laptop while working at the desk, be prepared to pull out the heavy desk to access a plug. All in all, hotel needs updating and modernization. Bfast was average for a hotel of this class.

TV remote did not work, cable not connected to back of TV, clock unplugged, noisy footsteps from room above. Weak coffee.

I arrived late and the staff was wonderful I could not have ask to be treated better.

The hotel was clean and the services met our expectations.

Very nice breakfast was surprisingly delicious and big variety to chose from. The room was very clean could of used some extra towels. Overall very comfortable :)

Very nice and clean went to a family gathering will defenetlynstaynagain

Convenient location near the airport, the hotel has all the basic amenities and good for overnight stay.
