Our first surprise was that our non-smoking room with two queen beds has been downgraded to two doubles, with no refund. We have paid for the room in full so there should be no excuse - but they said that was the only non-smoking option ha. More surprises when we entered the room - TOILET FLUSH FAILED----I CANNOT FLUSH THE TOILET!! Couldn't say more. CALLED front desk and got NO ANSWER. We have to fix it on our own in fear of getting choked by ****. Molds and smells in the refrige ha. The air conditioner has no automatic control yet figured out its way to stop working at 4am. Right next to this hotel there are plenty of other options, pay a few dozens of bucks more and you will get a perfect stay.
Best place to stay close to the Suny Campus. Just right across the road
Best hotel for us to stay at for my cousin's graduation. It was right near the university and major highways.
I was in town to watch women's basketball and enjoyed being directly across the street from the university. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The room was just right and if I were going to stay for a few days I would definitely try to reserve again.
I had a great experience at the hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I had reserved a queen room but was given a double instead with the explanation that room types are not guaranteed through this site. However, the desk clerk was willing to move me into a queen room the next night if I wanted.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful! Great trip to Albany!
First got in room TV did not work was switched to a room that smelled of smoke (non smoking room) heat/air conditioner was very noisy when it started, first room had a recliner but this room only had a very uncomfortable chair the first night there was a group on the second floor that was very noisy and but what we heard they had the police there around 1 am, the someone up there pulled the fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning, making us have to evacuate the building for over 1 hour and I was unable to fall asleep again and the chair in the room was like sitting a stone wall, so to not disturb my wife I went to our car and sat in it for the night listening to the radio, at 8 am when we went off for the day, my wife asked if we could get a recliner in the room instead of the chair, she was told that it would not be a problem and they would take care of it. when my wife got back to the room around 12 noon still no recliner, at 1 pm she had to come pick me up and again on her way out asked the desk they said they would call house keeping about the recliner, we got back to the room at around 2pm I was totally exhausted and disgusted with the hotel that after a 1 hour nap we decided to just leave then and head home instead of stay another night in this horrible hotel, when I went to the desk to check out they asked why we were leaving the hotel, I told them that with the lack of quietness the night before we decided to just go home and be in our own home and bed in 3 and a half hour, the clerk asked what could do to make us want to stay there again, I said that I know we are choosing to leave a night early but with what went on the night before I thought that night should be com-pt , the clerk took my info and said would give it to the manager and they would call me the next day, well I did not here from them on Monday and I did not here from them on tuesday either, so it seams they are just going to blow it off and do not care about the people who stay at the hotel, I hope everyone who stayed at the hotel on saturday night gives them a horrible review, as I am here and will be also posting this on there web sit too, I am disappointed that your company would even do business with a hotel that does not care about there patrons! TOTALLY DISGUSTED
We stayed at the hotel for the convienience of attending the NY Giants training camp as well as Saratoga Race Track. SUNY Albany is directly across the street. It was our second stay at the hotel. I think that next time I'm going to go somewhere else. The room's walls were a little beat up and the carpet had numerous stains. I must have forgotten but you don't get daily room service other then getting new towels (If requested). However the staff were very friendly. There are many other hotels along the same strip of Washington Ave to choose from. I think next time I'll spend a little more and and stay somewhere else. If you're not too picky about hotel rooms this hotel will suit you fine. The rooms have a refrigerator, stove, microwave, etc.,
At check in the receptionist could not even answer simple questions or give me directions to my room or where to park. The room was filthy. The bed looked like it had been slept in. The pillows were yellow and spotted and in addition to the dirty ;inenes I have never seen such a filthy mattress cover or blanket in a hotel. The carpets has large ares of stain and burn holes. The room had a strong, peculiar odor. I could not regulate the heat and the curtains would not draw completely closed. I asked for a second room which was just as bad. I went to the front desk and a different receptionist went and got me a NEW mattress cover and pillows and blanket and sheets and pillow cases that had been washed. Overall, this hotel was not remotely how it was described and I certainly would not even consider giving it a second try despite my frequent trips to Albany.
