Loved how cozy this place is. You can tell it's an older establishment but still VERY clean. Not really many amenities but very reasonable for the price.

Hotel staff is absolutely wonderful. They accommodated me in many ways and even contacted me directly via phone about my questions. Highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying there everytime I visit the area. This was my second visit so far.

The property was very fun! The theme in the room was cool. They were very accommodating.

This is a cozy old small town motel. So just expect that. My room was themed with trout. Bed was clean and comfy there was a microwave and small fridge available. Seemed like many other guests were concerned about the radiant heater, but it was 30 degrees F the night I stayed and my room was a cozy 70 degrees. I actually had to turn it down. I recommend this place.

A great place. The ONLY problems were (1) the A/C left something to be desired, (2) The doors (at least ours) was REALLY weak and loose. I believe a small child could push it open when locked.

For being in a small town it was really nice and very clean.

Nice owners that were very helpful, fairly clean. A unique motel, but could use some upgrades for comfort and everything working well.

This is an old hotel but clean and located conveniently

The hotel was ok. It was clean and warm. The rooms are older, stuffy air. Really interesting horse decor.

Motel is time capsule from Route 66 days. Clean comfortable room that has everything you need including a kitchen. Each room has a different theme Mine had deer & elk on everything including the toilet lid. I was just passing through but would like to return as motel was great and Monte Vista & surrounding area are beautiful.

The owner is awesome! It is much cleaner than any motel I have been to in the past. The rooms are fun themes. The beds were a little bit older feeling but for the price and my motel expectations it was way better than I expected!

The room decoration gave it a hunting cabin feel. The room included a small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, sink, dishes, utensils, table, & two chairs. It is old but clean and well maintained. WiFi worked great. I picked this motel because of its location. The only place to eat within walking distance was a DQ. If I stay in Monte Vista again, I would likely stay someplace closer to restaurants I like. There is a business next door and it makes the parking lot very tight. If you are towing anything, you might want to stay elsewhere.

Best locally owned hotel I have EVER stayed in! Clean, comfortable, friendly owner. I will stay there again!

Parking is bad, and the sign for the hotel was hard to see. The location has a higher level of noise.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. My two sons and I stayed overnight and had a great night sleep and I would recommend this place. Great value for money.

The staff here was extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean but could definitely use some updating. I felt like I was staying in my grandma's house from the 80s. That being said, we had a good night's sleep for a decent price and that's what we needed.

Very clean, quiet, dark room. Will stay there again.

I stayed overnight on an extremely hot day. The room was comfortable and clean. The room has a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. I appreciated having ice in the trays on such a day. The window air conditioner worked well (a little noisy) but had a hard time catching up because of the heat. It was definately a good value an will stay there again.

Visited Monte Vista to see Sand Hill Cranes at Wildlife Refuge

We stayed in the family room which allowed everyone in the family to have a room of their own. Low ceilings, but very clean with nice rustic decorations. We would certainly stay again. Nice value for the price.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to know which room number door you may be referring to as each door has a dead bolt lock besides the normal door look, making each room safe from the inside. We will certainly see if we can locate that door and make it safer. Safety is very important to us as we have cameras and staff watching constantly. Thank you again.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We have immediate plans to begin a complete rennovation and remodeling of the entire facility while keeping the "feels like home" context of most of the rooms. Keep your eyes on our changes...it's starting now.
