We love this beautifully restored 1870s hotel and the restaurant once again provided another truly superlative meal. The hotel bedding was very comfortable but the formerly cushy pillows have apparently been replaced with new and bigger synthetic ones that forced us to keep our heads cocked until we gave up on them. The heater fan was also quite noisy making sleep more difficult.
Very cute place, nice clean rooms. Only complaint is the mattresses are not very comfortable. They might be as historic as the hotel is :) the place is very nice and comfortable otherwise. Would definitely stay again.

forgot to take our key in the morning when loading our car. We were locked out and had to call the phone number....no answer so we left a message. No return call. Thank Goodness the staff (Rita) heard us knocking. We do remember being briefed on the key situation for the evening but not ever in the morning. Thank You Rita!!
The Windsor is a beautifully restored hotel from the 1870s. Their restaurant is the best for miles around and the bar is cozy and well equipped. Rooms are smallish but comfortable, attractive and authentically restored. All in all a great place to stay.
Not only was the hotel charming and the room lovely, the on-site restaurant was outstanding. The service was good and the food was delicious

The Windsor is a beautifully and authentically restored 1870s hotel. The restaurant is fabulous and the rooms are as comfortable as any I've frequented. The hotel boasts some very nice artwork and each room tell a story of bygone days. I've stayed in fancier hotels but never a nicer one.
We have stayed here several times. It’s a unique and special historic property. Nice ambiance and a great restaurant!
The Windsor is a wonderful place to stay and dine. The staff is fantastic! The rooms are lovely. The food and bar are top notch for excellent entrees and expertly crafted cocktails. In the mornings, there is coffee and croissants in the parlor and there was fudge and cookies for Christmas too. I highly recommend a trip to the Windsor and we will be back!
Excellent large room with good amenities. Most rooms are "sponsored" and in each there is a very human story presented of the sponsors and their connection to the area or the hotel. In our room were two panel displays on the families that operated the hotel through 60 years of the mid-20th century.
Staff was great, hotel was very clean. Very nice restaurant on site. Shower was a bit small but the room was very nice.

It was an excellent hotel. Rooms were very nice and the dining was great. Would have given higher but the room did not cool down fast enough to have a comfortable sleep. In the morning they had fresh. Croissants and jam. They were delicious.

Our apologies that your comfort did not live up to your expectations. We did get new pillows. We also still have some of the previous pillows and also pillows of different softness.
