Let me start by saying that the staff was friendly and very inviting. The problem was the extremly apologetic management and the general condition of the amazing architecture of the property. We found broken furniture at the pool, which closes at 6pm because of lack of lighting. Worn out carpeting was a common feature throughout.The major issue was their 5 month policy to disconnect power to the air conditioning to save a few pesos. Even though we were told initially the maintenance department was working on fixing our air conditioning, we found the truth out later because we had multiple rooms with the same problem. Impossible to get a good night sleep in an over heated room unless you care to leave your unscreened window open, risking spending the night with the local insects and the sounds of nearby train whistles. I have several years of experience in the hotel business and know that the comfort and safety is of the utmost importance for guests. Especially for a luxury hotel! If you are looking at taking wedding pictures... this is the place. If you are a good comfortable night sleep....stay away!
Our two night stay at this hotel was quite good. The hotel is just beautiful, our room was very comfortable and the bathroom just lovely. Dinner at the hotel was not the best and somewhat pricey, but eating out is definitely an option. Valet parking and efficient staff.
There is an issue with acceptance of international credit cards that uses Cirrus network to realize the transactions. The hotel management will not go the extra mile to solve any problems with regards to this issue for their guests. A simple solution like using the old fashion way of vouchers in these specific cases to accommodate their guest is out of the question. Thank god I had enough cash on me to pay. This was insane.
Stayed here for one night on business in June, first impressions were good but then I was snowy to my room. Room was quite large but looked a little dated, that said it was clean and tidy. As always the mini bar was an absolute rip off so steer clear if you want a few snacks the you can buy them outside for a quarter of the price. Can't comment on the restaurant as had dinner out at night but on return decided to have a night cap at the bar. Service was good and measures were not small which is always nice. Sadly the worst part of the hour I was there was the Mozzies!! I was bitten at least 6 times on the legs and arms and it appears very little is done by the hotel to rid of the little biting #### Sadly I had breakfast in the morning and have to say that it was served by the most sullen miserable waitress I have ever come across. When I asked for a Tea instead of Coffe you would think I had requested the keys to her bank account. And then to cap it all they could not find any breakfast tea bags only fruit teas. When my breakfast was finally served it was almost dropped on the table with the class of a heavyweight wrestler being thrown from the top rope! To make it worse the damned Mozzies were still in attendance and once more decided they would like to eat me for their morning snack. The place is swarming with them and yet not a single insectecutor in sight. Had an issue when I finished and requested the bill as they insisted I payed rather than charge it to my room as I was unable to do so due to my wallet being in my room I was made to feel very uncomfortable by the staff. I popped into reception on the way to my room and apparently as they had not requested a credit card on check in I had not opened a credit line. The girl managed to sort the issue and I went back to the restaraunt to advise them it was sorted. Much hurrying about to find my bill and I was then asked if I would like to add a tip......simple answer was no and given the crap service, no tea, rock hard melon (sorry forgot to mention that one) and the further 3 mozzie bites I felt justified in saying no. On Check out the final straw was that it took some 6 attempts to check out as their card readers were playing up and as I sat there I could feel the staring eyes of the 4 people waiting to check out again feeling very uncomfortable. All in all not a great stay and if staying again will be looking at the Marriott!
I hate to give bad reviews but this deserves it. AC is not working properly, rooms are old, staff is amazingly careless... Rooms are falling appart, sheets with holes rug dirty and with stains. Very very expensive with a very very poor service. Too sad...
I had the pleasure of staying at this amazing property. With its Hacienda old world charm that took my breath away. The room was spacious and comfortable. Decorated beautifully and made me feel like I had stepped back in time to a old world hacienda. Room had all the amenities one could want and ask for. Mini bar was properly stocked and although it was all charged additionally traveling to Mexico and not having to leave the hotel in the middle of the night for a late night snack made a huge difference. All public areas were very impressive breakfast in the outdoor patio was an experience with the birds and fountain in the back ground so relaxing. Staff was very on top of things and made our stay extremely comfortable and one of a kind. I travel into this city once a year but it's the first time I stay at Quinta Real. I just want to say it won't be the last. This place felt like home. The pool attendant not sure her name she was a pleasure and went above and beyond. That woman deserves a raise. She serves from the heart and made every effort to go above and beyond. Her first priority was to make sure we were taken care of.
By far one of the best hotels I have stayed in, great staff very attentive. Room was great with a great view on to the patio. Food was also excellent as was the pool and gym. I recommend this hotel if you are planning on visiting Aguascalientes soon.
Great service, and the building has a feel of being old, classy. The restaurant was elegant and food was great although a bit on the pricy side. On the down side, the pool was being repaired (not available) and they did not have their own gym. Rooms were very nice although starting to show aging.
I've been going to this hotel for nearly 30 years. The hotel was built in stone in the old style around a large open center with restaurant, pool, and all the amenities. The ring road has taken a little away from the initial impression, but the rooms are so solid and quiet that once inside the hotel you do not notice it. Staff and services are all well over what is expected for a hotel in this price range.
This is by far the best chain in mexico. The one in Aguascalientes is 5 star. The gracious staff , the most comfortable suites with luxurious linens and pillows , along with the hacienda feeling of the resort is out of reach from its competitors. Thank you Quinta and staff.
