Stayed with business. They paid $130 per night. I would consider this barely good value. There was a long queue during check in. I heard the man in front complaining that the spa was not working and he asked for a discount on his room rate. He was offered the opportunity to cancel his room booking at no charge. He was refused a discount and was offered no apology. The bathroom was old and very mouldy. The taps were leaky and hard to close. There was a pubic hair on the toilet seat when I arrived. The carpet was not clean, and a crisp from a prior guest remained on the floor the whole 4 days I stayed. I observed the cleaner with a very poorly powered vacuum attempting to clean the carpet in a great rush- obviously pushed for time. There was a safe in the room, an Iron and ironing board, and good storage. Basic toiletries of shampoo, conditioner, soap and bath gel were supplied. Spare tissues and toilet paper were provided. There was good lighting, a desk and a little round table for dinner. There was also one armchair with a foot stool. There was a balcony with a view over parkland and the mountains. My colleague had a view of a cemetery and an intersection. The furniture was old and chipped and tired looking. The bed was queen size and on the firm end. It was made up of a quilt with sheets folded over it- not my favourite configuration as the sheets get tangled overnight and you end up sleeping directly next to the quilt. There were 4 comfy pillows. There were good thick curtains. I had my own individual split system air conditioner/heater. There was a mini bar with ridiculous prices. Tried room service once. They said it would take 20-30 mins. It arrived after 40 minutes. It cost close to $30 and was obviously bulk purchased frozen food that had been deep fried. Very over priced for the quality provided. There are very few places to eat dinner close by. Did have a feed and the elephant and the castle pub a block away and it was quite good. However did not find anywhere else to eat that was less than a 20 minute walk. The internet was impossible to use for work purposes and I ended up with better internet by hot spotting my mobile phone to my laptop. They provide a cable for cable internet but it does not connect to a mac. There are no printing or scanning facilities in the hotel. The rooms are noisy. I could hear the fellow next door wash his hands. The lifts make a clunk every time they stop. Breakfast was dried up, with limited options available. The normal price was a ludicrous $32. Somehow the business rate was a more reasonable and fitting $8. There is a small amount of parking that is an extra charge. However they book in more cars that what can actually. I returned late at night and there were no spots left. The hotel was 10 minutes drive from the airport, and it was easy to get around to other parts of the city by car. It was across the road from a large area of parkland. It was a very long walk to the main part of town... not sure how long... because even thought I set out several times I never made it there. Adelaide is a flat city, it would be ideal to hire a bike and ride around. There were plenty of bikes available on various street corners.

We made a late booking through the Qantas accommodation portal and were hoping for something reasonable. Unfortunately Adelaide was hosting the preliminary AFL finals the same night, attracting a record crowd and accommodation in the CBD was scarce. We must have got the last room in the hotel, which was close to the lifts and all night anytime the lift operated we were disturbed by the whoosh and clunk of the weights and lift. The air con also did not seem to be working adequately and the decor was very old and tired. The car park out the back is absolutely crazy to negotiate and too many cars have been squeezed into the space with poor access. We did not stay for breakfast. We were up early after a poor sleep and had breakfast elsewhere.

The staff were all very friendly and efficient, but the hotel was definitely just average. Our room was clean and roomy enough, and the bed comfortable. The clock/radio wasn't working, which didn't worry us. Soundproofing was perfectly adequate for being on a main road, with a fair bit of traffic. The upstairs bar was very cramped and not somewhere to relax in. I can't give an opinion on the restaurant, since it was closed for a private function on the night we might have tried it. The location is convenient for a walk through the park and for a short drive or a long walk to the city.

I recently stayed at the Rydges South Park for the second time. We had a Superior Parkview Twin Room, which was extremely clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the park, we were located on the 5th floor. The price was very reasonable, however a $10.00 parking charge seems excessive when there is NO where else nearby to park. When we reached our room, a note was placed on a bed advising a function would be held on the 6th floor, which would run until 11:30. We did not even notice any noise, or inconvenience from the function, which was a nice since we needed an early night. Also noted was the restaurant was not available, however room service was still running, we ordered our room service, which still incurred a $4.50 charge, again this seemed a little excess. Our room service included a pizza, which wasn't the best, and did resemble something frozen from the supermarket. Overall our stay was enjoyable, however next time I would avoid the room service.

Very comfortable rooms, spacious with a very comfortable bed. Friendly staff with a genuine welcoming feeling. 10mns walk from the tram stop to Glenelg or the city (otherwise about 15-20min walk to Rundle Mall. Beautiful parklands around. Bar and dining on the top floor offering views of the skyline and the parklands Definitrly staying here again

A prominent Hotel on the corner of West/South Tce overlooking Parklands in Adelaide, South Australia. The entrance is only accessible by travelling south along West Tce. It has a small but secure Car Park with direct Hotel entry. Guests are treated to a sixth floor Bar and Restaurant, (dinner service only) plus Gym, Swimming Pool and Spa all with great views. The Bar had the basics but lacked locally made boutique drinks for which the city is renound. The Restaurant offered a small selection on its menu where they more than made up the local content with some delicious meals. At ground level the Smorgasbord Breakfast is cooked alongside the servery and offers fresh and tasty selections. The dining area, although small, is a wonderful place to greet the day from and has some outside tables too. The King Spa room had limited Room Service and no discernible views but was spacious and extremely comfortable. An affordable stay with a touch of luxury.

First time I have stayed here, hotel is easy access to CBD and Parks. Skyline restaurant serves very nice food and plenty of choice. Rooms is Cosy with view of CBD or parkland. . Rooms are in need of an update but still clean and comfy. Off street parking available. Staff very freindly and helpful. Would say again considering value for money as a Adelaide can be expensive to stay. Great mini bar selection.

Just 1 night stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Organised a table with a view and the food was scrumptious! Left my shaver and the staff posted it back to me without any fuss. Centrally located on the outskirts of the heart of Adelaide and close to parks and the interstate rail.

This hotel is not near anything, it is fine if you are fit and able and able to walk a considerable distance to the trams or buses. The complementary taxi service only runs between 7am and 10am Monday to Friday only and has to be booked in advance. I chose this hotel because it was near to the showgrounds. There online pre checking system is appalling. You unable to reply when ian error has occurred and even ringing the hotel to confirm that what was requested was correct at the hotel. So you can imagine my shuck when i checked in and went to my room and it was not what was requested. The person at the desk was very helpful and did his best although at quite an extra expense To myself. The front desk staff were polite and helpful within what they could. Next time i am in Adelaide i would choose another hotel.

Room very comfortable, everything where we could find it and spotlessly clean.Shower and bathroom has been upgraded. We were offered to join their membership to allow us further discounts. Breakfast very nice, with lots to choose from and reasonably priced.
