Rydges South Park Adelaide

Booked and was looking forward to my deluxe room - as stated on their website “spectacular views over surrounding parklands and Adelaide Hills”. Room 120 offered instead spectacular views of a busy road, the bar it was perched upon and some greenery opposite. Not sure where the hills were. There was absolutely no privacy on the balcony between rooms, in fact you could see directly into the neighbour room and vice verse. The noise from the traffic was pretty bad. I had mentioned on check in we had to leave at 5am. This hotel was chosen as it didn’t look that far from the airport and leaving at 5am was easy to do a right but later would have been impossible. I did get a free drink voucher for being a member. Not great as a couple. I can’t see any value in this more expensive room, what a waste. The wi fi worked for 5 minutes. Can’t think of any reason to come to this hotel again, which is situated in the dead end of town.

My recent experience at Rydges South Park Adelaide was very good. From the outside it looks a little dated but inside was quite impressive. The check in was quick and efficient, very friendly guys on the desk. The room was above my expectations. Very well appointed - I particularly appreciate there is a desk for computer work, a small dining table and chairs with a view and a very comfortable single lounge chair and ottoman for relaxing. The bathroom was very chic. A reasonable space divided into three essential spaces: generous walk in shower, hand basin / mirror and WC. It was three separate rooms with the clever solid walls on either side of the vanity. A nice touch was the wine and nibbles I was invited to from 5.30pm - 6.30pm. A number of guests found their way to the 6th floor bar area and enjoyed some local wine, finger food and conversation. Well done to Leticia who hosts this event. The F&B staff were very attentive and smartly presented. All round a good hotel that is sensibly priced.

I travelled with just our toddler the other day and booked a standard room overnight as I was flying out in morning. It's very close to airport which is great. They upgraded my room which was kind. Room was lovely and clean with a newly renovated bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly and booked my morning taxi that night and a wake up call. I didn't answer a call in morning so they came and knocked on door (When I checked the phone wasn't plugged in /working) so at least you know they will still wake you! Will stay again for sure.

Great business hotel in a very central location. Easy to get to and not too far from the airport. Staff were friendly and room service was great. Rooms were pleasant and bathroom recently well refurbished.

Very disappointing with the price and room spa not clean the staff not friendly not welcoming the worst experience of my life strongly recommend not to stay in this hotel very very disappointed they did not have teeth past to brush teeth or teeth brushing if you want you have to pay no room service they give me different room for what I booked

Booked a room at his hotel at the last minute as I was only staying about 8 hours and it was quite cheap. Pleasantly surprised as the room was top notch, and the staff were great. A liitle bit of traffic noise as it located on a main road, but room cleanliness & comfort greatly outweighed this. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Very old needs updating. Room was of good size, needs a good clean. Breakfast Buffet was good but squeezed into a small area. Free bottled water would have been appreciated. Staff friendly and helpful.

Perhaps I chose to visit Adelaide on business the wrong week because of valentine’s day prices where very hefty. Nevermind that but when one pays over $300 a night you’d expect free bottled water in your room knowing full well that Adelaide tap water is pretty bad. One would also expect a nice quiet room instead of being woken up by several corporates going into the conference room adjacent to your bedroom, or one would also expect modern bathroom with nice shower head and lovely basin. I also visited the ‘gym’ where the old equipment honestly felt dirty and unsafe to use. Never going back there

We booked our room for our family and it was too small the staff were so friendly and offered us a room change thanks so much rydges will defiantly visit again. Created with a smile and given a comp drink too. Sign up for the rewards program well worth it.

Rydges South Park enjoys a fabulous location but is in desperate need of refurbishment. This said, the staff were exceptionally good. Warm, welcoming and helpful. I had trouble opening a suitcase and Marjory went out of her way to help me. The breakfast buffet is ample, nicely laid out and delicious. The beds and pillows are comfortable. It is a pity the restaurant isn't open on a Sunday with music playing. I think that might help to inject some energy into that part of the City. Strongly recommend a visit. Jan Lindrum
