Home away from home

Our stay at the Korkdam has been pleasant with minor correctable things. Staff are very friendly, extremely helpful from the security, front desk, restaurant staff, and cleaning. Everyone should be considered for a raise. They have made our stay delightful. We appreciate them all greatly.

I stayed at Korkdam Hotel for 1 month. The hotel is clean, the staff are very polite and I was made to feel welcome by Doreen the hotel manager. I had a nice balcony view, and could almost touch the trees growing in the garden. I really enjoyed my stay at the Korkdam Hotel and will be staying there again in the future. I went for the top executive room, the hotel is clean and affordable but basic. Staff are lovely and have good customer service. Security is good and they changed the bed daily if you ask for it. The bathroom is rusty and dated. The water was cleaned and treated was pleased with this as it would have ruined my staff. They also have hot water. The breakfast was disappointing but for the price and the service thank you, will definitely stay again.

Terrible stay, the whole stay felt like a scam. I booked stay for my husband and request early check in for half of day rate because his arrival at 5am, then was charged for original full price, I have to send my receipts to show host what my rate was, eventually, he agreed on my rate, however, he marked my booking is "no breakfast", the reason is the rate I got, and I took screen shot of his posting "free buffet breakfast for all the rooms", he blamed expedia. I paid through expeida" with package booking, therefore, the rate is low, but denying breakfast and dishonoring services due to the low rate is not acceptable. After a few hours conversation with expedia and host, they add "bed and breakfast", I asked about it, host said "free breakfast". "buffet breakfast" was served only one morning with very limited items and was told "not to refill the plate and have to share with other guests", by that time, we realized what "bed and breakfast" means "not to refill". My husband breakfast portion was served less and less each day, and was told he has to pay if want more. Furthermore, numerous power blackouts during the day, my husband laptop was about damage and lost his work too. Elevator is not working, there is no air-conditioning in the hallway or lobby, it was steam hot! I get it "that was what paid for", the worse one was "you did not get what you paid for with all the humiliation and frustration. Definitely not returning and strongly recommend to avoid this place.

Good For Short or Long Stays

The hotel is OLD. Very dated in all aspects of construction and decor. But kept in good repair and very clean. Personally, I love the quaintness of the entire experience. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and polite! I feel at peace and at home here! I would highly recommend for short or long term stays. One last note. Bring some mosquitos repellent just to be safe. There are not a lot of mosquitoes. But enough to get your attention. At least, the few I dealt with, got mine. Repellent made for comfortable night sleep.
