The hotel is not up to the expectation! Definitely not worth the money... the location is great, is just on the beach, has security guards. The quality of food is medium,most of the menu is just Non veg. For vegetarians there is nothing. The housekeeping also not good, they don’t clean the rooms well. The room is not equipped with refrigerator, cafetera, hair dryer, not even water! etc. Waiters are lousy! They should have toaster in the breakfast to toast the bread- They need to improve on everything!
I stayed from October 28-November 4 in this modest Mexican Resort Hotel here's what I thought of it. I liked the rooms basic big but dated rooms that were kept clean I was at first given Room 621 I was then moved to 724 because the A/C wasn't working in the former.The one small Swimming Pool there was always packed I swear the only time you cold maybe swim in it would be at 8 AM in the Morning.The food there i'd maybe put on par with Las Palmas it was ordinary at best with little variety it almost became a tough chore to eat there not very appetizing at all.There was some very nice and good Staff there like Carmilo a waiter,Luis Angel,Bar Tender,Francisco and a lady at The Front Desk who's name escapes me who has a brother that lives in Regina.I think this place is an okay Resort with mostly decent Staff but here's what maybe changed my view of that statement.I gave over my Suitcase and Carry On Bag to a Bell Boy named Salvano who gave me a ticket & assured me that both bags would be safe and secure fine I left them with him while I was waiting around for Evening Transportation ride for my Aeromexico Flight.When I arrived at the Acapulco Airport around about 8 PM I discovered that over 2000 pesos had been removed from my wallet that had been inside my carry on bag.If this is what you call treating you guests well/good customer service I beg to differ lets just call it what it is theft pure and simple.I won't make the mistake of visiting this Hotel ever again or recommending it to anyone in or outside of Mexico I was originally booked to stay at the Guadalaraja Hilton I now wish I had gone there instead.
I particularly booked 2 months in advance in order to have 4 rooms at the very top of the A tower , when I arrived the receptionist was super rude and did not gave me the rooms I booked, this guy split my hole family on the floors 4,7 and 10 , for no reason , I explained what I wanted and still no help at all , he was VERY RUDE, (the girly guy with the glasses) , I asked to be help by somebody else but still no help came across, at the end of my very bad week there , I spoke to the hotel manager , specifically about this receptionist and he did not care at all , my husband and I are international travelers and have never been treated like this anywhere in the world but only here in the ritz acapulco mexico , very very disappointed they do not know how to deal with international guests and the specific needs requested !! DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL, is old , no maintenance at all, old and dirty towels , bad quality food,terrible reception,!!
It was a little difficult for me to decide its score, but I'll explain why I'm giving 5 stars. About the facilities, Ritz hotel is not by far the most luxurious hotel you can find in Acapulco but it accomplishes with the necessary to be calm and rest in Acapulco. We were located in the 15th floor with an awesome bay view and king size bed. The room is OK, some things are missing such as hair dryer or body cream and I really recommend to the hotel to change old TV for new screens, it will increase the look of these. Room cleaning service OK and bathroom is very well maintained. Now, what really loved from the hotel (and I decided 5 stars) is the service and the staff: all the staff is really Kindle, helpful and serviceable. My very special thanks to Anna Lilia from lobby, she was very helpful and Kindle. On the other side, Marco from sports activities is a nice guy, he took us for a beach walking and the guys from bar and Barra libre, always happy and recommending any kind of drinks (our favorite was Delicias de café). Buffete service is varied and food taste is very well, recommend the Thursday Mexican food and show (tacos Al pastor) and waiters and waitress always serviceable. Valet parking service effective. Excellent price quality balance, really hope to be back this year. Congrats to all staff :)
I took my wife and two boys to the Ritz Acapulco from March 8 - 22, 2017 for a small vacation during spring break. The description of the hotel and services is a little deceptive from the vacation ads but after getting past the initial shock the place grows on you. When we arrived at the hotel were were greeted warmly by the reception staff and check in was fairly smooth. The front of the hotel faces the city of Acapulco providing easy access to local clubs, activities and shopping. Our room was on the 14th floor and the balcony had a city view which at first seemed cool but the night life goes on until really late in the night and wee hours of the morning. We asked for a room change the next day because of the noise and were provided a room on the 7th floor with a beach view providing us with the serene sound of waves crashing on the shore. The hotel premises is very small and offers little in the way of amenities. there is one dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is one snack bar open from 1pm - 6pm daily. There are 2 bars, one near the dining room (Margaritas) open from 10am - midnight and one near the pool open from 10am - 6pm but not every day. There is one al a cart restaurant (La Clava) that is only opened on Fridays and is for adults only, no children under 15 years old. The food in the dining room was pretty good and varied every day in some way. La Clava served a nice dinner and had a nice ambience. The beach area was beautiful and well maintained. The building security was good and a heartfelt thank you to Martino for all his insight and information about the hotel and Acapulco as well as his consistent diligence at keeping the area safe from beach peddlers and non residents of the hotel. A thank you to all the staff at the Ritz but I would like to acknowledge some specific individuals for their exceptional kindness and attempts to make our trip a great one. From the main reception and guest services there is Arcilia. The animation crew was very kind and energetic for a small group of people but Marco was a big help in providing extra information and getting involved. The dining room staff were great, Matiza our breakfast cook and our wait staff Jesus, Rodrigo and Julio and of course our bar staff Jonathan, Jose Luis, Gerrado, Jorge and Luis Angel. Thank you for all your kindness and attentiveness. To sum it up, the Ritz hotel is a little bit old and run down but the staff do their very best to provide good service and treat their guest with politeness and courtesy. With some renovations and improvements to their amenities the Ritz could once again become a popular hotel on the Acapulco strip.
The service and the view were great, however, they need to reinvest in their rooms that honestly, look old. Yes, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay, but invest a few dollars on giving the guests a better television, more plugins for cell phones or other devices, and also a better WiFi.
-the staff pleasant and helpful. -room was clean, bright and cheery. (Make sure you bring your own hair dryer as the room is not equipped) -Beach service was great (umbrellas and loungers) -food in the buffet restaurant was very good -the a la carte restaurant was nice -room safe was totally worth the cost of 11 pesos per day -They should have a snack bar that you can access directly from the beach area. -beds a very hard We were there during their "Christmas Holiday" so the hotel was very busy with locals. Pool area was crowded, so we spent most of our time on the beach. We walked the main strip a few times. Went across to the mall, always felt very safe. They are constantly cleaning the facilities. We attended a couple of shows but lost interest as they were totally in Spanish. Because there were so many people along the beach strip the ocean seemed a little dirty a couple of times.
This hotel is right on the main strip. All rooms are ocean view and the views are gorgeous especially at night when the mountains are lit up. Found the pool water to be too warm but it's a very nice pool. The food was delicious. Drinks are great. Located directly on the beach. Walking distance to clubs, discos, shopping. Beautiful area!
Very busy on the weekends with all the local Mexicans coming, loud and have to wait in line for the restaurant. Only one a la carte. very small beach. We got very sick after the 2nd day and had to call the doctor to come and give us anti-biotics. Rest of the days we went out to American restaurants to eat. Couldn't wait for vacation to be over so we can get out of there. Staff are nice. Would not come back!
I enjoyed the Ritz. I t is all inclusive and very busy during the weekends. the elevators are slow and the room could use a small refrigerator but the location is great. the food is good but like most buffets it is usually the same with different variations. the one thing I would change would be to have the wifi in the rooms when I stayed there it was only in the lobby. they have a safe but you must rent the locks and it is worth the money
