Having stayed at a number of all inclusives across Mexico in the last 20 years, the Sandos in Cabo had some major perks and just a couple draw backs. Pros: Pools were excellent layout and clean, enough restaurants on site to try and were good but not so many you felt like a meal in town was a total waste, rooms were spacious and clean, location by town and the marina is a big plus here, and staff was super helpful. Cons: biggest drawback compared to other all inclusives that I have visited is that while I didn’t expect true premium liquor, I expected a few more options. Tequila options even when stocked were like 3 well level liquors and Cazadores and Centenario if they had it. While the average person maybe fine with well in anything, the bars routinely had an impressive array of schnapps and liqueurs but only a handful of selections of any type of liquor.
Staff and service was great. Food marginal at best. Rooms dated and lacking amenities like usb ports, basic toiletry items, and the mini fridge was very small and sat on the floor. We didn’t have any problem finding chairs at the pool, so that was nice.
Truly palatial and elegant! A great property.
Perfect for walking to downtown areas. Safe. Armando in the Agave Restaurant was great. We fished several days and brought our catch back to hotel to have it cooked. We definitely like The Agave restaurant the best, we tried three of the restaurants on site for our fish. They made it blackened, fish tacos and ceviche. All were fantastic. The drink service was very slow on the beach, even when tipping heavy. The first room we were put in was 6701, it was not a good location and not the nicest room. You had to take an elevator up to 7 th floor. then down a floor and then walk down about 28 steps to get to room. Not a very convenient location. We asked to change rooms, but they stated they were full., but hardly anyone there. when I looked on line they had rooms as well. But found us another room for a $700 up grade charge a few minutes later. Don Diego in the past was a breakfast and dinner buffet, now only a breakfast buffet. The drinks in the Lobby area bar are the best. They use premium liquor, and actually measure the shots instead of just pouring. Room service was extremely fast when we ordered it. The pools and hot tubs were not very warm. In fact the hot tubs were actually cold. They stated they called someone into to look into it. But it was never resolved while we were there. They no longer have all the people in the lobby pestering you about time shares and presentations, which was awesome. Use caution is you use the phone in your room to make a local call.

We stayed her for 5 nights during December and we had the best time. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The location and grounds are beautiful. The pools were clean and refreshing. The location right on the beach is perfect for walking along the beach, whale watching and enjoying the most beautiful sunsets! Food options were great and every one of our meals was delicious. We were with 3 other families and there were 17 of us. We all agreed we will be back!
Beautiful place in a perfect location to venture out! Really wish there were more choices of restaurants in resort. We had a large group and never had to wait too long for table but it took a very long time for dinner. Pool bar servers panda and Alexis were amazing but when they weren’t there it was very slow service. The staff was so kind and friendly. We traveled for 10 hours and when we get to hotel a little earlier than check in room wasn’t ready yet which is understandable but at 3pm which is check in time it still wasn’t available it was almost immediate they were trying to get us to sign up for presentation for time share etc. the hotel was very clean but rooms were pretty plain. Bed was very comfortable and had great linens. Mini bar was stocked one day and had to ask the other days but was done promptly! Overall a wonderful resort and we had an amazing time!
This is an amazing property! Location, location, location...beach on one side, Marina on the other. Close enough walking distance to all kinds of shops, restaurants, entertainment. The food at this resort is the best we have ever had an all inclusive. We have been to several and this is hands down the best. We would absolutely return to this resort!!
Only issue was we weren't able to get pictures from the whitr party, because no one was available and the desk could not contact anyone.

Food was not the best and service by staff was always hit and miss. We had good days and bad days it was just okay. Wont go back.

The check in process went great. Then we were informed of vip. The only benefit was saw for this is a smaller pool area. Rooms were dark. Only one small lamp. Toilets were too low for my mom and there were no grab bars in the toilet area. Rooms were noisy. Right near the stage/show area. Had to ask for maid service There was NO dining tables in the rooms. Had to eat room service on the bed 😩The breakfast buffet was great. Dinner buffet food was way over cooked and meat was tough. Drinks at the pool were weak and over sweetened. The only good drink was at the Whale Watcher bar. We have stayed at this resort before in 2018 and enjoyed it. Not sure why it went downhill. Probably won’t stay there again.
Staff were very friendly. Awesome views and food. Great place to relax for vacation.
