I've stayed here three times and have had a great experience each visit.

Bathroom was dated. Loved everything else about the venue

Lovely historical hotel in the heart of downtown Annapolis. Very friendly staff

Overall, my stay was okay, but be aware that this hotel charges extra for almost everything. They require a $50 per night deposit, which adds up quickly, and parking is an additional $20 per night—surprising given that the area isn’t a high-demand parking location. There is no free breakfast, which feels like a miss considering the price point and added fees. The room itself was fine, but it lacked basic storage—no drawers to store clothes, which made longer stays inconvenient. Interestingly, the room is designed with a fitness focus and even includes workout equipment, which some guests may appreciate, but that doesn’t fully make up for the missing essentials. Staff interactions were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which didn’t help offset the nickel-and-diming feel of the stay. Bottom line: The hotel is acceptable in terms of cleanliness and concept, but the constant extra charges and lack of warmth make it hard to recommend. I would not stay here again.

Clean room. Very helpful and responsive staff. A challenge to park in the narrow on-site lot and hard to find street parking (but unsual for this area of Bethesda). $20/day for on-site parking was a change from the free parking here during my last stays, but again, not unusual for this area. Short walk to metro, or WRMMC appts, Harris Teeter and bakery/coffee shops. Guapos next to the hotel serves delicious Mexican dinning or carry out options. I will happily continue to patronize American Inn in the future.

I am sooo happy with my stay here!!! The staffs are amazing the rooms are amazing the beach view and the board walk all in 1!! The pool is with the bar amazing for families with kids like myself to be able to relax and have the kids enjoy the pool! I love the stay this is definitely my to go place when I come down to ocean city!!!!

Beautiful, clean room! The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas!

The property was sorta disjointed. The pool is not connected to the main building. The pool bar is independent of the hotel. The rooms are dated ! The stove in the room has to be from the 60s a coil top that looks dangerous to use. The windows in the room were filthy. The staff member at the front desk check in was either petrified of being fired or NEW. She needed help. Overall experience was meh! I personally would recommend some where else.

Not the cleanest higher end hotel . Just fair. Very drab atmosphere. Pool out of order still. Somebody had a sunflower seed fest n they were left all over the floor for the days i was there, front desk at check in i dont think she wanted to be there that day. And in this climate an ev charger would have been nice for the price i paod to stay there. But the bed was comfortable #lasttime
