If you plan to fly from Pensacola to Washington DC, you'll begin your trip at the Pensacola Regional Airport (PNS). You can get there via Interstate 110 South by taking Exit 5 to Airport Blvd. You'll be able to make the 804-mile flight to Washington in a little over two hours if you book a nonstop flight.
With so much to see, you might consider a guided tour, a bike tour, or a hop-on trolley tour. The Smithsonian includes 19 different museums and galleries as well as three IMAX theaters. The National Mall and Memorial Parks are free, and its 2 miles contain some of the country's most famous monuments and memorials.
