Miami International Airport is located at 2100 NW 42nd Ave., less than 10 minutes from the city's center. Airlines that fly from Miami to Bogota include American, LAN and Avianca. The airport offers many dining options, including Au Bon Pain, Café Versailles and Nathan's Hot Dogs.

To get to the airport, you can hire a taxi, ride the Metrorail or drive your own car. A taxi ride costs between $10 and $52, depending on the length of the trip. The Metrorail is the least expensive option, at only $2 per person.

The weather in Bogota stays pretty even throughout the year, with average temperatures ranging from 41 to 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Most months see a steady amount of rain, but the rainiest months are April, May, October and November. Make sure to bring an umbrella if you are traveling to Bogota during these months.

History buffs should visit La Candelaria, Bogota's oldest neighborhood. In this neighborhood, you'll find ancient churches, many museums and historical libraries.
