Positives: The Washington Plaza Apartments are in a perfectly centralized location, close to everything and blocks away from transportation. The apartment was very sunny with lots of windows, ample closet space, a comfortable bed, and a full kitchen. The one-bedroom apartment we stayed in was a sunny corner unit on the top floor. Honestly, I was very happy with my entire stay at this location. The value for the four days was an unbeatably affordable price. The walkability of this location is 10/10. I could easily see myself living at the Washington Plaza Apartments in this very eclectic building in the heart of Portland. Negatives: This is where I get a bit nitpicky and honest about this location. If you are looking to stay at a five-star location in the heart of the city, look somewhere else, because some people would be completely turned off from staying here. The building is a bit run-down with an old, shaky elevator and a strange smell in the hallways. The apartment we stayed in was furnished with very old (1990s-style) furniture that reeked of cigarette smoke, had burn holes in the couch, plus dusty window blinds and rusty water in the bathroom when running the hot water. The shower was tiny! On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable with a feather pillow-top mattress pad, a fluffy comforter, and pillows. The apartment had a bunch of windows, a great view, a tower fan in the bedroom, a ceiling fan, and a small air conditioner in the living room.
