Overall, a comfortable stay with a few quirks. The motel was very easy to find and there was plenty of parking when I stayed in early August. It has a tucked-away, U-shaped layout that makes the property itself feel surprisingly quiet and protected from outside noise. Check-in is done through a virtual agent and was pretty straightforward. I was initially given a code for my room, but after many attempts, it simply would not work. I went back to the virtual check-in desk and they issued me a physical key card instead, which worked perfectly. Honestly, the key card seemed like the easier option! The room itself was simple but comfortable and had everything I needed, including AC, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer. The bathroom was small but nicely appointed. My only issue with the room was that it stayed noticeably humid throughout the night despite having the AC running. One thing to be aware of is that the walls are VERY thin. The property was quiet, but around 4 a.m. I woke up to someone in a neighboring room violently vomiting, and unfortunately I could hear pretty much everything. So while outside noise wasn’t an issue at all, noise between rooms definitely can be. Overall, I’d give it four stars. It’s comfortable, easy to find, has plenty of parking, and is in a convenient, drivable location for exploring the area. I’d stay again, but I’d definitely pack earplugs!

This is our favorite place to stay when we come to Disney. Love how friendly the staff is and breakfast is amazing.

In my opinion, this hotel has nothing special to offer except for its impressive lobby. Everything else is completely average. The rooms aren't very soundproof, so I didn't feel like I had much freedom or privacy. The room rates are expensive, and the breakfast is no different from what you'd get at a standard motel.

I’ve stayed at Anaheim Maingate several times because the location and price are hard to beat, and overall, this stay was okay. However, there were a few things that made this experience less enjoyable than previous visits. There was some confusion regarding a possible complimentary upgrade. I emailed ahead of time and was told they would try, so when I called, I was surprised to find out that the upgrade would actually come with an additional fee. I completely understand if a complimentary upgrade isn’t available—I didn’t mind that at all. It was simply the miscommunication that was confusing. The front desk staff member who helped us when we arrived was nice, but there was only one person working. If they needed to assist someone with a room issue, they would put up a sign saying they’d be back soon. After driving 6–7 hours, it was a little disappointing to arrive and then have to stand around waiting rather than feeling immediately welcomed. Another issue was the cleanliness around the office. There were ants and other bugs crawling around, which was especially noticeable when trying to get water from the dispenser. I’m not sure if the heat contributed to it, but it was definitely unusual and not something I expected. We also requested additional towels since we had three guests and the room initially had only one face towel, one hand towel, and three bath towels. The request itself was handled fine, but when the towels were delivered, the staff member waited outside o
