Drove 2.5 hours to get to this hotel and arrived at 3pm. Was greeted by a young gentleman st the counter. He allowed us to check in early since our room was ready. He then hands me a set of key cards and says ok you are set. He doesn’t tell me my room number or where to go. I asked him what’s our room number? He replies with the room number as if I should know. At this point he doesn’t even tell me where to go. I tell h ok but which way is the room. He points his finger and says “Just go that way.” He mentions nothing about possible breakfast services for guests, any amenities we could use, nothing. I had to look up myself on the website to find our breakfast is not free at this hotel. For this to be a Hilton hotel front desk staff need to have better training on how to interact with guests during check in. No guest should have to ask what’s their room number or how to get to their room. We’ve traveled all over the United States, and this was our first time staying in Williamsburg at the Double Tree. Very disappointed we will not be staying here again.

Front desk clerk was very friendly. The lower level of the hotel was breathtaking. I could tell a lot of thought went into the upgrades. I could see however the repairs needed on my floor. I stated on the third floor. When walking through the halls and looking up I could see the damage. In my room, the toilet was really low to the ground. The door to the bathroom had a scratch on it.
