There was no staff only a note on the door to call a number. The person on the phone said my room key was in the mailbox. I booked a 2 bedroom and the room was a 1 BR. I called again and they said a room is available on the 1st floor and is open so just go in. The room was used by the night clerk and had a door to the office. It was dirty and had dirty clothes in it. I called and said I was not staying and requested a refund. They said no refund. I left and stayed in another hotel. I disputed the charge with my credit card company.

We arrived at the RussMar Hotel shortly after 5pm. Apparently that was "late", so the staff left a voicemail and our entry key in the outside mailbox. I had to call to get a wifi password; they had to text it to me because I could not understand the verbal response. On the plus side, the bed and bath were clean, but the floor was sandy and greasy. Checkout the next morning: No one in the office at 8:00am. I called the number posted on the door to find out no staff would be on site until 9:00. We left the key in the mailbox, hoping for the best, and assumed that the staff had charged our credit card for the night's stay. Yes, late September is off season, but either open a properly staffed and clean hotel, or shut it down for the winter.

I arrived at 8:15 PM to find a sign in the door to call the phone number. The person on the phone directed me to reach into a mailbox and pull out a room number key of which there were several and I said I could not find the number sheet Dictated to me. She told me to grab a different number of which there were multiple keys for that room I inquired is it safe to have an extra set of keys outside and was told yes nobody will come in. Face-to-face interaction is necessary.

Good, clean hotel

It is a good, clean hotel, close to the beaches and boardwalk. The staff was courteous and friendly. Next time we're in Wildwood, we'll stay here again.

This is a very low rent property, but that is what was expected. If you want any sort of amenities or even a pleasant-looking looking a feeling room, this is not the place. It was clean and in a good location. As more than a bed it is not the place for you. As just a bed to sleep in it is what it is. It is a one to two start hotel, but I will say it was clean, which a lot are not.

One night stay in South Wildwood for Boots at the Beach. The desk clerk checked us in and directed us across the street to park. The hotel did cover the fee for 24hours. Parking on site was for guests staying more than one night. Room was standard.

Old but does the trick.

If you are simply looking for a bed to lay your weery head this is the perfect place. If you're looking for a luxurious stay its not here. This is your run of the mill 1960's motel (still has that design). The room had a mussty smell unpon entry, nothing turning on the AC and cooling it down didnt fix. The floors were gritty with sand but it visually appeared clean. It had two queen beds a nightstand between them with a fan on it. Behind the door is a mini frig, microwave and a coffee pot. Upon waking in the morning to make coffee I saw the coffee pot had not been cleaned from a prior vistor, that did not get used. Gross! The pillows are crap, no fluff at all, bed is okay the first night there after not so okay. The bathroom is small and dated. But it has hot water, plenty of towels too. No signs of bed bugs. There were stains on the sheets, no one can promise to get everything out of a whits sheet. The tv wouldnt work at first we had to have the desk attendent come and get it going, that took him ainute but he got it. Again, its a room with 2 beds a bathroom with a sink and shower. You have a mini frig and a place to crash after a long day on the beach and boards + you got a shower and a place for cold beers!

When we booked the room here on Expedia, there were pictures that showed the room. When we got to the room… it looked like a dirty rundown version with no window like in the pictures. There were only three pillows and one of them shouldn’t even have counted as a pillow. We had to have room service come to our room to clean the tables down and change the sheets because they were dirty and even after she cleaned, one of the tables was still sticky. I feel like this place could have been such a good experience but we did book last minute, maybe that’s why there was so many complications. You get a kitchenette with the room which is nice. The motel is located a bit after the convention center, across the street from the bike rental spot so you do have to walk a bit to the main stuff on the Boardwalk.
