Old School Beach Resort type property. I stayed in their "retro" rooms, which means, old, and small, but also clean and quiet. Staff is friendly enough, but parking is simply abysmal, with most cars having to park in an "overflow" lot a block and a half a way.
Great location but the facility needs some serious updating.
It was an ok hotel first i was in a small room not what i picked but then the next day i was able to switch to the bigger room the best part about hotel is the pool bar and the location close to boardwalk and pool bar is awesome and alot of fun but other than that it was an ok experience parking kind of sucks but we worked together left room number in car so you would no what room to go to when you wanted to get out the lot because it was kind of tight but they had another lot down thestreet didnt want to park that far away
They have bed bugs, the workers were trying to keep it quiet but they have them.
Our room was clean, but it definitely needs a lot of cosmetic work. Also, the pool is open to anyone in the public and the hot tub was shut down.
The staff is fabulous. Ridiculously close to the beach. Made it easy for my family. Not the newest or most luxurious hotel. But we were really happy with what we paid for a quick getaway
This property was not clean and was not safe. We left a day early because the police were called due to vandalism on our floor. Also, the pool was filthy because it was a public pool also. We payed way too much. Unfortunately, it was a dirty, unsafe dump.
The people there are really nice , but the building is Dirty and it isn’t a place for family especial with kids !
It was close to the boardwalk. We knew it was run down but thought it would be clean. Never again

What I liked about the property was that it was very close to the boardwalk and restaurants. There was a great brewery a short 10 minute walk away which we really enjoyed. There was a large tv with cable. The tiki bar/ pool was also a plus. However, the place is in DIRE need of updates. Things are rusting, the balcony door barely closed, the faucet and shower head in the bathroom were very aggressive and sprayed water everywhere, the lamp wouldn’t turn on sometimes, also the AC stopped working in the middle of the night. If you plan to be out all day and night, then this place is ok for the price that it is and you’ll have more money to spend on activities. But otherwise, it really REALLY needs renovations.

Property condition was horrible and out dated. I didn't feel safe after the sun went down. My room was disgusting. The tub had a water film that was dangerously slippery. I jump out to find that the water was not draining. I had to use my shampoo to clean tub. The toilet wasn't sacuured to the floorand was barely holding on by a loose screw. I went to front desk to report the condition of the room. Front desk person didn't even offer to change my room or to work out any Accommodations. I was so freaked out by this experience. This room should not be open for people to reserve. It is unsafe and not sanitery. I had no where to go had to endure two nights of horrible conditions. This is not an exaggetstion! Don't book here at all . Nasty place!
This is a very old and dated hotel. However the location was amazing and the staff was great. Had a few issues with water pressure and not having any cold water and they took care of us right away. I would stay again as it has a great location and makes going to the boardwalk and beach super easy. would be nice if the beds were updated and bathrooms were redone but all in all a decent hotel for the price you pay to be right across from the beach.

This is a lie. Our hotel, like every hotel around here is sprayed before the season for everything. We have no such issues.

We have received approvals to do all the work that will modernize this classic Wildwood hotel. Come see us again as we improve.

Thanks for the nice comments about the staff. Please check us out as the hotel gets more than just a spruce-up over the next couple of off seasons. Things are heading in the right direction here at the Oceanic.
